I am predicting Liquid Ozone is the next best investment.
If you follow other topics, then you are aware of Hulkagghedon and the mass ganking of exhumers. There has been some chatter about if it would make a dent in the technium or other such materials and I guess the consesus was not really because of such low content.
However, looking at LO (I looked in the main 4 region hubs as well as a couple of others) and there is a REAL shortage of LO. Now as well as the past few weeks, the supply has been getting used up as prices crept higher. The past performance and rise is I think due to simple pressure as more POS came online for T2 material production. The ganking has only hurried the supply to run out sooner rather than later.
This shortage, I believe, will not be fixed as a fast fix because let's face it, CCP is cracking down harder on the farmers and mining ICE is one of the dullest things to do in EVE.
Look at the past 30 day trend of LO in any of the 4 main Regions and you can see the steady increase. The 5 day average is leading the 20 day average and will continue to do so unchallenged. Any speculation in it will only fill your pockets with loads of isk IMHO.
I have never really followed ice products so I would really appreciate some open discussions in this matter from the experts. What concerns me is the effect the higher LO prices will have on production and how much it will help prices go up.
(Jita has less than 1/2 a day supply of LO listed for sell...and it looks as if it is only from usage and not speculations)

Almost all ice products have had a real shortage since a week after dominion release, personally i think jumping on now is a bit late on the curve as supply has to start filling again soon, if any ice product goes much higher now i predict people to start flooding to the ice belts, then again i may be wrong -sig- Support the introduction of Blaze crystals for Amarr!

Have a look at white glaze while you're at it, someone cleared the forge supply about a week ago.

Huh?
They cracked down.
Once.
Belts are packed full of macro miners; hell, a majority of the players (not farmers involved in RMT, individuals) mining ice run macros 23/7.

4 People are playing this market heavy, with large stocks in hangers. I was one of those people, but it seems after this post I sold my entire stock within a few hours.
So I thank you for this thread, LYII Dividends went up a percent or two because of it :)

Like I said, I don't follow this market so I don't know anything. However; if you were able to liquidate a "large stocks in hangers" in just a few hours and you claim to be 1 of 4 major players in this market, then I would point out that you add credibility to my analysis that supplies are not keeping up with demand. Does this mean the other 3 players can do the same the next 3 days and then the stockpiles are gone as well as supplies on the market.
It just seems to me that getting in around the current prices should turn 25-100 percent returns fairly quickly and fairly safely.

TBH, getting in on top of a bubble is just not good marketing practice. You have no way to know you won't be had by someone that's been holding on to a week's supply of LO. IMO, this post's existence significantly raises the probability of a marketeer losing his shorts.

In honesty no, goes with the above post. I had 3 normal days of sales in my hanger, I paid an average of just over 400isk, which is high as it was but let me move the price to 579 with little effort.
This is when I found out about the other people that had large stocks, the price war began and we dropped the price downt to almsot 400 again.
I bought it up again and raised the price back up, this time it held some, but started to drop right prior to your post.
Soon as your post hit, tons was bought up again.
I know somone bought up 55mil Units at the price of about 355, they have just started selling. I also know that people bought up my 20+ mil units very quickly hoping for a gain, problem is people dont have the patiances to wait it out, and will start fighting soon with prices and drop the price IMO.
I could be very wrong. But I do know I cashed out very nicely on the deal.

1) 5th Elliot wave predictions are dangerous and often made by those who need to get rid of their stock before of the abc series and related downpeak.
2) An alt of mine AFK mined white glaze in the last days (it's like 13 minutes per load, so *not* afking it would be rtarded." There were other 51 mackinaws, all afk mining, with no "-geddon" to be seen (the map says 1 kill in the last 24 hours).
A known macroer nearby had his usual 5 macks happily humming from DT to DT, I think he makes about a freigther a day of cubes alone.
There are 2 risks:
- the warning is late and thus people will jump on the wagon just in time to see the price peak down.
- the bottleneck is that production is quite strictly tied to units per day. A mass joining of casual EvE players like is usual at Christmas vacations eats in that pipeline before it adapts to the higher load. But the vacations are over now, so from investment this becomes speculation and speculation is bad (bar for the insiders that is).

Ok, please someone else check my observations and see if i am indeed inline or somehow way off. I am looking at normal average volumes of the main 4 hub regions (Jita,Amarr,Dodoxie,Rens) and trying to determine daily averages as well as currently for sell volumes.
It appears to me that 3 of them have less than 1/2 of a day and 1 has less than 1/4 of a day for sell. To me, this indicates a true shortage. This is also not a moon material that people can just sit it out and wait, this is fuel to power their POS. but wait, wait... this is also used in PVP to move all those capitals around. Again, when you need to jump that fleet, you don't wait until fuel is at a better price, you simply pay-the-man for the fuel and keep going.
This is why I can see this as a possible gold mine, selling something in short supply to both sides of EVE and when either side need it, they have to have it regardless of the price.
I will watch this weekend with great anticipation.

Also, some asked me why I talk about "too much" technical terms.
Well, this is market, and market should be approached with respect and preparation, at least a basic one.
Learning the basics of trending and the (quite old, and not proven wrong yet) theories about it should be in every serious trader's knowledge. Elliot waves are a GREAT and easy /fast thing to learn. - Auditing and consulting

Would you like some Grey Poupon Mustard to go with your crow?
Just Kidding, I asked for people's opinions and I appreciate yours as much as anyone's. However; I still would like to see some post about this from Ice experts. The trends seem to still be just as I thought with a steady increase due to higher use coupled with lower mined amounts.
I really only have a small amount in this because I was afraid of diving into an unknown market and late in the cycle. I watched it bounce back and forth between 540 and 580 but now that those remaining 580 stocks were sold this morning it seems there could be some serious increase coming. Thoughts and comments?
