As I have said, "I don't know how it came to be on my ship." But it is always there. Others are haunted by ghosts "I'm haunted by a book." I purchased a old Probe shortly after I was Pod killed, well I say Podded though it was really suicide, given the cicumstances..... This Probe was a special ship, different from all the others I've flown in only one respect....the cell. A small 5 meter by 2 meter cell barely large enough to stand in located near the cargo bay airlock... In it I found the book, an antique journal of sorts, and in it the strangest story. I took the book to my compartment to read many times only to awaken from my sleep to find it gone. And as always, upon investigation I find it there under the cot in the cell right where I found it origionally. So now I've taken to sleeping in the cell myself. I tried to sell the book, "what a disaster that was!" Two jumps out from the Throne World's I was ambushed by the man I sold it to, a collector named "Janis Amarbastyr" if that's even his name, and what kind of Amarian Book Collector flys a Raven for that matter? Well I just knew, sure enough there it was where it always was.... I've been on the run ever since. I suppose its encrypted or something... the story itself told in the journal seems rather unimportant, the author claims to be a merchant. By why a cell on a Probe? And then theres the disturbing dreams.........

I said the story seems rather unimportant, "I know Jene I should explain myself there." "I only mean that based upon the content of the journal...I can't understand." Jene interupts.."Dark forces are at work here Sue!" I laughed but it was just bravado, the dreams were too real.
"Look Sue, I'm leaving the corporation, and you should too." "Jene I can't you know that...."
Really there's nothing to leave.
Its been a week, I'm starting to wonder if Janis is still after me......?

I'd say we've been in warp for days, that'd be a lie though... There is no we, my crew is gone, my corporation defunct....
The Gate Camps.....the last one hit me so hard, I punched random numbers into the console and hit warp....
I've lost all sense of time.......I've grown a full beard.
A slip of parchment on the floor...."it must have fallen out of the book." Now I hold whole conversations with myself....next "I'll be finishing my own sentences.."

The compartment is bathed in a green light. I don't know how I know but I know I've stopped. I make my way to the bridge, and see that I'm in orbit...
"I need to eat." I say in a voice I barely recognize, and I stumble to the command chair. At my finger tips are data inputs and I absent mindedly tap messages to the ship. My display lights up and checking the date and time I see I haven't been on the bridge in over a week....... I run a scan looking for a gate, there is none. For the first time in my life I'm in uncharted space orbiting a unnamed planet.

I guess I should say something about the Book. The merchant it seems was a woman that called herself Ter'Rhan, and her race and other aspects are a mystery to me. She writes about her time in the cell. She writes about her thoughts related to philosophy and the history. I'll read an bit of the Book.
And so it was that knowlege was once passed on from mother to daughter and father to son from one generation unto the next. But then came the intuition and from that sprang forth the concept. For it became clear that all knowlege passed in this way was flawed, for are these not the very stones, stepping stones of the path upon which all that is anchaint was once lost? And so thus came about the immortals so that from them would spring forward a path without end.........
Most of it I cared little for at first,... at first. And it seems so irrelevant anyway, these are just rambling thoughts after all.
"I'm a crude man, really a insensitive pig on my best day." But in my solitude I'm finding the walls of the cell are closing in. I awoke and a figure stood over me....she said only "Read." and was gone.
Once I woke to find myself locked in.
I knew imediately the ship was back in warp........

"I now know the truth."
I was not meant to find this Book. She should've found a better man to be her prophet.
"I now know that Sue Mei died a long time ago, I'm not a God, I'm not Immortal, I'm not even really me!"
Can a capsuler have a mental breakdown?
Does the Book even exist?
In my dreams I went to the surface and walked on the Unknown Planet. I picked a thing, a plant, and pressed it in the book....
I don't know anything.

A reading from the Book of Ter'Rhan
And so it was that there was one whom would be burdened with the secret word, and cast into a cell and sent to wander the stars. Never dieing or being born. So that the secret and message would stay lost. A race and a people bound by madness all cursed to wander the stars forever, for they have forgotten the way home.
Praised be the Book!
Sue Mei closes the tattered book and kisses it reverantly clutching it too his chest as a stands on the bridge of his rusting Frigate....and whispers, his eyes mad with fire...
"I have the Flow'er, I know the truth."

Once there was a woman named Ter'Rhan, she was a mechant of undisclosed race. She traveled New Eden in an industrial for many years until she was captured by pirates and held for ransom. Her father a wealthy merchant himself refused to pay the ransom, instead activating her clone, and continuing his life with his daughter without a second thought. The pirates its said held her for many years and sent hundreds of ransom notifications to her father. Which he quietly, it is said, deleted.

"Sir the Crazy pirate has it seems, just stolen the item he just sold you."
Janis walked calmly toward the window of his stateroom aboard the Raven. For a moment a muscle in his jaw twitched, other than that he gave no sign of concern...
"I'm a murderer." he whispered, "Im a murderer, and Sue MeiWydoncha is a thief."

She had lived with him many years, it no longer mattered that once she'd been his hostage....she loved him, and now he was dead.
The Furmament Pirates had no use for clones or immortality, they raised thier own children up to command and crew thier fleet, and lived on a planet far off the beaten path in a system without a name.
It had worried her though for many years now, that journal she had abandoned years ago...
What if someone found it?

Note: These characters exist in game, as they are my characters.
Sue mei or Sue MeiWydoncha as he's known to the wreck salvage looter community is my main. (he is a jerk to say the least, and he like many religious fanatics, it turns out is very amoral.....do as I say not as I do sort of guy.) He steals, then when he doesn't steal he's very concious of it, while he is unaware of the wrong he's done. Steal from him and he'll kill you.....or destroy your ship and in rightious indignation loot your wreck.
As Ter'Rhan developes....I could'nt create Ter'Rhan it had to be TerRhan in character creation by the way I hope to create a Fermament Pirate Corp....but i haven't yet. Shes the matriarch of a pirate clan.....but I think that as a corp it'll be more like a secret society.....anyone wanna join a secret society for role play?
Basicly I'm just trying to be creative in game.
The Amarbastyr family are traders in the Metropolis Region, geneticly they are more Amarlike but they are descendants of slaves nonetheless.
My main character is influenced I think by a HP Lovecraft-esk kind of self destructive dementia, and luck.
