Could you make the exchange viewable without having to logon? At the moment it's like paying to get into a nightclub and trusting that the bouncer has let enough ladies in to prevent the place becoming a sausage fest. It'd be nice seeing the action you could get before having to fork over your hard-earned cash to some chump who's face looks like he's been french-kissing a brick wall (no offence against Minmatar, I'm sure you're all lovely people).

Interesting way of asking a question :)

Block is correct you can check share prices without loging in using tool bar on the top.. Select shares that will take you to a new right side tool bar that you can select the shares.

I've got a quick question about the exchange:

I have a sell order up at a pretty high price and want to relist them a bit lower. How do I cancel a sell order? It looks like there's a box on the bottom right that should have my sell orders listed but there's nothing there.

 Thanks.

If I remember correctly there should be a cancle next to your order once you are logged in.

That's the thing, my orders don't seem to be listed at all. I can see them in the exchange itself, and they are present in my transactions, but they are not listed under "Orders" or on any of the share pages as orders. It says to click x to cancel order, but none are listed where they ought to be.

Another funny thing is that I have all my shares of a couple types up in sell orders, but some of them are listed in my "Balance" and some are not. I haven't wanted to try to resell those shares in case there's a strange bug at work. Dunno if this is related to my order problem.

I've tried it in different browsers as well, no change.
Didn't really know who to contact so I figured I'd just post.

Okay, hope I can help. Originally by: Jolonnar Hirdious I've got a quick question about the exchange:

You need to be logged in to see cancels buttons and account balances, etc.

There are two ways to cancel an order.

In the central panel, "Exchange", any of your orders will have a "cancel" choice next to your order raher than "buy" or "sell".These "panels" are on each share's page, each share having its own page. The panel to the left listing all the stocks, the panel at the top to select shares/bonds, etc.In the bottom right panel "Orders" all your buy and sell orders are listed, with an "X" next to them to cancel them.

If you have listed a share for sale then it will not show in your "Balance" panel, top right. Similarly, any ISK in buy orders will not show in you balance (they will show on the pages of the shares you are buying/selling). Otherwise, anything you have on the Exchange should show here.

Please remember if you have mineral Indices shares, these occasionally may pay dividends in the form of more shares.

I can tell you that the biggest problem I thought I had (except when the Exchange was not working) was my own fault (stupid C+P error in spreadsheet). In nearly 5 billion ISK of transactions things on the Exchange match what I believe they should be.

Important: Block is more than willing to look into any errors reported, but he is usually RL busy/focused at weekends.

I suggest you send an EveMail to " BSAC MMM " detailing which shares and what the problem is, as Poison suggests.Important: If you want a reply please make sure " BSAC MMM " is in your in-game addressbook or you have no CSPA fees. --

Thanks very much Marcus for the detailed explanation. Looks like there is a bug issue (at least with my sell orders, I think I might have got a mineral dividend as you suggest) and I'll contact Block to pursue it further.

 Bug Fixed!

The name field in the sql table was 16 char long. Your name being 17 char long was truncated, and your order was showing in the exchange but with the owner being "Jolannar Hirdiou" - notice missing s at end.

This bug should had affected characters names longer than 16. Name field is now 32 char long. Contact me or post here if you are missing an order.

So I have recieved a letter saying I am one of the accounts under "suspicious transactions" And have asked Block Ukx if posting making a case in my defense now would be alright. He has agreed. The following is what is to be belived as the suspicious activity:

In my name I had roughly 2,000 isk left after share purchases and such. At this time I happen to browse at the minerals shares. Upon which I notice a seller of Isogen at $53.20 isk, below that is a buy order of 1,000,000 @ $54.01 isk (if i remember correctly, either way the buy order was higher then the sell order) To anyone with simple math skills they would see the potential for a small profit.

Having that roughly only 2,000 isk to my name I then proceded to purchase what little isogen I could and then proceed to resell it to the buy order. As I slowly made money I was able to puchase the Isogen in larger chunks, effectivly speeding up the process of filling the $54.01 isk buy order. In the end this took maybe 500 buy and sell orders. This is where I believe the Exchange views my activitys as suspicious.

As anyone who uses the trading site knows its only takes seconds to fill in a buy/sell order. If this was not the intended use of the market site, then it is a simple design flaw that like in EvE any buy order is filled as that price mark is hit. In the case of the Exchange, this is not so, since a buy order set higer then a sell order was not automatically filled by the system.

In the end the simple point is, No malicious software or hacking of any kind was used on my part to profit a little on an Isogen buy & sell order. The item was bought as purley as anyone else buys items and sold just the same. It was a small opportunity to make a little money, and I made use of it fair and square using only the features on the Exchange site.

 Thank you.

Yes, that is what raised the alarm. As a standard procedure, involved accounts were audited. No negative action was taken against any of the involved parties.

However, your actions did raised a secondary concerned that we are carefully reviewing. We expect the Exchange to be up again in 24 hrs.
