Yupa	Posted - 2010.01.19 20:29:00 - [1] Good evening to you, fellow low-sec wanderers, I'm writing here to report a most dishonorable aggression on my ship and person in Harroule, 0.1, Placid, by a pirate corporation named "Achmed Terrorist", which has to be one of the silliest names I've ever come across. The simple fact is: don't ing ransom if you plan on killing. You pitiful fellows have no honor whatsoever, and I consider your lives mine from now on. To every other honorable pirate: if you come by these horrid people, please do act in favor of the legendary honor of the pirate kind. The message sent would be much clearer if real pirates showed these men the way; with heavy fire. Catooo, Nessuno Ita and Capitan Darkow, do accept my sincere hatred and rest assured this won't stay without an answer.

Fornicis Caldari APOCALYPSE LEGION	Posted - 2010.01.19 20:36:00 - [5] Most pirates are honourable, though I still despise them, I personally took a faction/deadspace fitted Raven through Rancer and got caught on a gate by a Sleipnir, he fired and I fired back, sadly he was the better player me being low skilled at the time (read 4million SP, I know too low for a BS blah blah). Then 3 of his friends warped in, I quickly spammed local that I would pay a ransom, transferred the ISK and they did honour so hats off too them, though I still despise pirates. These men however deserve to be murdered, brutally and then camped till they quit.

Hmm....pirates have no honor, its a simple fact and quicker you learn it, the better your life will become. And yes i can confirm that Veto does honor ransom requests although it was rather an expensive lesson for me not to take off eyes of directional ever again.

My train of thought was caused by the fact that the servers had just came back online I was sitting just on the edge of low-sec so thought I'd quickly get through...I was wrong, still haven't learnt my lesson though :) My corp has actually banned me from Rancer lol.

We at Vivicide always honor ransoms. But I must ask: Did you dawdle with paying the ransom? If so, it's likely that they started firing before receiving the ISK. The worst thing to do when getting ransomed is to say that you'll pay, wait a few seconds, and then pay. You'll likely lose your pod and your ship since the pirates will think you're calling backup (as is often the case).

But there are pirates out there who'll honour ransoms (a majority) and there are pirates out there who won't / won't always honour them. For the later group (my corp included at this time), it really depends on how our days been and what we think of you. If you've been a whiny ***** then you're more likely to be dishonoured if you do pay up, if you're someone we got a decent impression of then hey, today might just be your lucky day! Either way, it's the pirate ransoming you who's calling the shots and no amount of whining on forums will change that. Historically speaking pirates haven't tended to have much honour! They had it much easier, none of this romantic crap :P
