Funky HiSec Gank Idea: The Guantanamo Option

Gwen Ingolffson	Posted - 2010.01.22 18:34:00 - [1] Seems to me that suicide gankers are essentially little different than terrorists - i.e., they run up to an industrial and blow themselves up shouting "Allah Akhbar" or "Your mom!" or whatever phrase they deep appropriate. So how's this for a fun and funky idea: Said bombers, after being destroyed by Concord, have their pods towed off to a gateless 0.0 system (call it the Guantanamo System). There they are sentenced to spend one day game time (two for second offense, four for third offense, etc) armed only with a Velator/Ibis with the standard weapon/miner combo so they won't entirely get bored and can maybe shoot at each other. Maybe put hyper-aggressive Sleepers to give the detainees more entertainment. If the detainee gets blown up, he ends up in another Velator/Ibis/whatever and the cycle repeats itself. This might cut down on the terrorism a bit and could also be a challenge for obviously bored players. Maybe give them some bragging rights - "Yarr, I got five kills while I was in the Guantanamo system!"
