How stupid are you. If a value is given to a ship, it counts for both ships killed and ships lost. However, if you are saying that we are only killing noob ships and crap T1 and loosing T2 then you may have a point. That said, I would hope that our targets fly things like HIC or that would make them very stupid targets IMHO.
