Or you could just ask me.
Unlike other sites, the profit from BattleClinic's timecode sales (such as it is) help us build more tools and guides for EVE Online players.
Those that think otherwise are just offering their opinion.
The facts: BattleClinic protects your privacy by never asking for personal information like copies of your government ID, utility bill, or other intrusive verification.
BattleClinic has never been and will never be associated with gold farming. In fact we work actively against it.
BattleClinic's primary business is building free stuff to help players. We are able to more because the few bucks that come in from timecode sales let us rent bigger servers (so that you get your DLs quickly) and hire developers (so you can add killmails to your Facebook account if you wish).
Maybe I'll start an AMA reddit.
We're players like you, and we appreciate the biz cause it all goes back into this community.

You and the boy's have met my main plenty of times. Just before you woke up back in a new clone, mostly
And the only homework I did was to look back through your posting history of spamming different subforums for BC. Worked for me.

ROFL @ Internet Tough Guy attitude.
Meanwhile,
I've only ever bought GTCs from SC. I received my first (and only) verification phone call minutes after placing my first order with them and I remember thinking that the customer service representative was very polite and helpful while we tried to sort out my location versus his mapping software. I've never had any issues - such as my identity being stolen, for example - that I could possibly trace back to that phonecall or my transactions with SC. In fact, I haven't experienced anything like that at all - ever.
I haven't purchased a GTC from BC and as a result I don't have any comment on the quality of their services.

Would have to agree with several people on here and say that shatteredcrystal is excellent, bit disappointed they no longer sell the 30 day cards (when did they stop that? have been off for a while) but the exchange rate still means that the 60 day card is cheaper than other companies
You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

CCP culled the 30 and 90 day card options and replaced them with 60.

Have used SC a few times so far and they seem to do their job pretty well.
Yeah their initial phone call might be a little strange but something that impressed me was that they check whether the email address you sign up with is the same that you use in PayPal. If both the emails are different, they refund your money straight away and ask you to create another account with matching details.
I know it's a pretty easy check but it's something that I haven't seen before while purchasing of any other sites.
Anyways, - N3rvous

That's because CCP doesn't allow them to sell the 30 day version anymore.

I'm surprised how many people don't know why SC calls you the first time and asks questions about your local area - they do it for account security, if your account gets compromised you can call SC and tell them the answers you gave them last time they called.

Good experience with SC so far. I'm not a power buyer, only buy once or twice every 6 months but never had any issues.
Can't comment on BC, never tried.

Originally by: Doc Fury Shattered's so-called "trustwho" verification is most definitely unnecessary and overly-invasive. If you are personally comfortable giving up a lot of personal information that could easily be abused for identity theft, and then verifying it to some stranger over the telephone after placing an order, then by all means have at it.
Also, Marcus Eikenberry the founder/president of shatteredC (MarkeeDragon) is also who developed this "trustwho" system, which he also promotes and sells to FARMING and RMT/GOLD SELLING web sites. (google is your friend)
Battleclinic gives a lot back to the EVE community, while shatteredC is just another place to buy a GTC that also happens to support and promote MMORPG farming and RMT.
And this is exactly why I refuse to use SC. Markus Eikenberry is known to break the EULAs of every single game out there. He also gets excited about fraud(As apparent in the interview). Yet he runs a business that requires you to provide a colour photo of your passport and a copy of an utility bill.
It smells from far away. And anybody who willingly gives the above information really deserves having their identity stolen. It should be a GIGANTIC red flag for anybody who's been on the internet for more than a year.
In fact, I've been labled as a fraudster with Trustwho.

I used to deal with EVETimecode.com, before SC bought them. When they first called, I was asked similar information.
When SC bought EVETimecode.com, despite 4-5 orders with EVETimecode.com, they required me to send them passport copy and utility bill copy, as they were afraid that I was trying to fraud them.
I denied, and was hung up on.

As long as you deny any request of sending personal details like passport photo-copies and utility bill photo-copies, you're OK.

Regardless of certain people's positive experiences with SC in this thread, I just won't deal with them (and I recommend people to use Battleclinic as well) because of Marcus Eikenberry and his activities in the past as well as his current activities that I find very questionable. |
