Upon opening my map screen (with the intention of typing a system name to target for my travelling) the map screen seems to stall on the box which pops up stating 'getting data' (or perhaps gathering data.)
If you hit the escape key, this box disappears, but theres no way of closing the map window.
Aynone experienced this or know a workaround? A few people in corp are complaining of the same problem (unsure of the system), and a few others have mentioned that they have had it on the mac client before, but arent having it as a problem at the moment on the mac client.
Im running on Windows 7 using the most up to date windows client.

Same here. It's something wrong with the settings files. When you backup the settings and restart - everything is initial ofc - and then the map works. But that's no option to lose all PEOPLE & PLACES organization, overview settings etc. Just my main account has this problem. Please resize your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels with a maximum file size of 24000 bytes. StevieSG |

I have this same problem, re-logging is the only current fix.
Please help CCP!

Follow above what I grabbed from the forums. It worked for me, too. All fine now. Please resize your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels with a maximum file size of 24000 bytes. StevieSG |

hrm, mine does it every time I open the mapbrowser, are you people deleting your cached files or just a reboot?
I love seeing something explode and knowing that someone somewhere is screaming at their computer |

I have 2 accounts, this account was affected by this glitch. I tried the fixes in the other thread but nothing worked.
Here's the funny thing, I run both accounts out of their own EVE directories. I've verified all the game files are identical in both directories with a file synchronization utility.
My main install works fine, my alts install doesn't.
In the end, I pressed esc, selected the Reset Settings tab, and clicked clear all cache files. After EVE restarted I could open and close the map correctly again.
That button doesn't break your overview settings or buddy groups. Give it a try.

Clearing my settings and cache in this manner worked for me too. Give it a try! |
