I've searched the forums but couldn't really find a straight answer:
If I want to reprocess modules at a 50% station, what skills will I need to get 100% out of it? Refining V, Refining Efficiency V ,Scrapmetal ??? What about at a 35% station ?

Edited by: Amateratsu on 27/01/2010 09:07:14 I'm not sure if you can get 100% from a 35% station, but the skills you mentioned are what you need.
Each level of scrapmetal processing will reduce the amount of waste you get from reprocessing modules/ships ect.
You may need lv5 to get the best results from a 35% station, but lv4 should get you 100% from a 50% station.

at 50% you need scrap metal 1 OR a refining yield implant (can't remember which one it is). I am not sure about the 35% station.

ref/ref eff 5 +1% implant gives you 99.99% yield at a 50% station so with a 2% implant or scrapmetal proc 1 you get 100%

I can¦t verify previous answers. To my knowledge, and in terms this has not changed lately, numbers are:
50% Station (most NPC¦s): Refining 5, Reffinery Efficiency 3, Scrapm. Processing 2 gives 100,8% yield.
35 % Station: All above mentioned skills at 5 gives you 96,9 % yield, and the Hardwiring Zainou "Beancounter" H60 Implant in your Head, giving you 4%, drives you over the 100% mark.

The Mining Guide 3.2 has a nice section on refining.
Note that unlike skills like Veldspar Processing, Scrapmetal processing requires RE5 which requires R5 so the R5/RE4 option is not available for scrapmetal.
Whine: after all this training to reduce waste, you still have to grind corporate standing to 6.67 to eliminate that 5% tax.

This is the base formula. I believe it is in Halada's mining guide and other places:
yield = <facilities base> + <reprocessing base> * (1 + <Refining Skill Level> * 0.02) * (1 + <Refinery Efficiency Skill Level> * 0.04) * (1 + <Material Processing Skill Level> * 0.05) * (1 + Implant Bonus)
Reprocessing base is always 0.375 at everything but POS.
At 50% station: * Refining 5 * Refinery Efficiency 5 * Scrap Metal Processing 1 _OR_ Implant Slot 8: Hardwiring - Zainou 'Beancounter' H50 (2% refining - allows you to refine ANYTHING without material specific skill, not just scrap)
At 35% station the best you can do is 99.96% with maxed skills and implant: * Refining 5 * Refinery Efficiency 5 * Scrap Metal Processing 5 * Hardwiring - Zainou 'Beancounter' H60 (4% refining)
At 35% station the best you can do is 97.37% with Scrapmetal 4 and implant: * Refining 5 * Refinery Efficiency 5 * Scrap Metal Processing 4 * Hardwiring - Zainou 'Beancounter' H60 (4% refining)

Did not look at the prereqs, sorry!
@Tau I see that the numbers you have changed slightly to the ones i¦m having in my spreadsheets. I see i have to check the updated halada¦s once more.
Maybe coming from that i¦m refining in a 50 % station, and that only ore, where reaching 100 is easy.
