After several breaks i once think of spending some time in eve. i once started whit amarr battleships and ended up in a tech2 fitted CNR whit decent missiles skills (around 6m sp in missiles). The plan back then was to fly a golem back then and my last training was marauder 5
So however i just think it's time for a little change and maybe try once again a laser ship. well, my Gunnery skills are laughable and most of the sp i think are from awu5. I am also training amarr bs 4 right now.
Well also it seems i only have 9m isk left whit some assets trough amarr and caldari room. however, i still have my geddon i some times used back then for salvaging. i am pretty sure there will also be some named laser to fit on.
So, i could need some input what i should equip on my little soon to be ex-salvage ship. my "goal" later will be abbadon for some effective lv 4 mission running in the amarr space.
don't get me wrong i am just tired whit the missile thing and just want something else, it does not have to be "pwnage" so i take any advice i can get

I'm also Caldari and about to crosstrain Amarr. This is my "more or less complete" training plan, organized from more or less "fastest to train" to longest.
It's gonna take me about 6 months to get through all this, but once I do, I should be reasonably Amarr competent, I think.

Take it easy with the armor compensation skills. Level V on all of them is a waste of training time for subcaps (you'll get BS V in 3/4th of the time)

well skilled cnr will beat the low skilled amarr ship every time.
armor comps 5 do them, but give them a low priority especially for mission running, you will be using active hardeners most of the time. so hull upgrades 5, mechanic 5, and repair systems 4 or 5. this way you can use t2 reps and hardeners.
as for gunnery t2 large turrets with specs to 4 and most support skills to 5. can stop trajectory analysis at 4 for tech 2 tracking comps.

I was in your shoes about a year ago. I was about maxed in Caldari BS skills but hadn't even flown an Amarr ship. Now I fly a Paladin for about half my missions and love it.
You might consider training your gunnery skills first before your armor tanking ones. Then use your Caldari shield tanking skills to fly a Nightmare while you work on your armor training. That's the route I took, and the NM is one of the most fun ships in the game to fly.
