ok, we went there
and had this message:
You see a large Starbase near the beacon you just warped to. It seems to be guarded by the Angel Cartel. Perhaps you are closer to finding something of value ....
and after 26 bs and 26 elite cruisers.
what did we get ?

i don't know if this is a joke or a bug...
anyway these things really sap my love for this game.
complexes and pve, should really be fixed, i'm totally losing the fun of it.

Tee hee.
Are you sure you killed the overseer? It could have been a ship or it could have been a structure (i.e. the starbase). Assuming you DID kill the overseer, welcome to exploration. It's random; sometimes you hit it big and sometimes you get absolutely nothing.

well actually the overseer just dropped 1000 faction ammo, and a load of crappy meta 2-3 stuff.
then, the structure, dropped a 12th tier overseer's personal affects (9 m)
and, yeah, about random and funny loots, we once had, from a overseer battleship wreck, an unpackaged Cynabal (no bpc or packaged one, a friggin assembled ship, maybe the overseer was pregnant) and of course we failed at recovering it in time.
need to have a coffee, and go for some grief, since pve is definitively lotto.

This was a bug that was taken care of not too long ago. Someone posted a thread about how it happened to them and updated it with news that it was confirmed as a bug; probably mixed up entry in database.

PvE is simply a matter of doing enough sites and eventually you'll even out and get a pretty average reward for your efforts :)

I had the same thing happening to me (I guess it was the same plex) months ago.
Which conserding the number of spwan, is a bit ******ed....

so if it was "fixed long ago" do you think i could get more then they're "late apologies" and a link to the bug report, if i petition it to ccp ?
or i should have been prepared anyway to loot a pregnant overseer with a orca ? :)

He said "not too long ago", as in the last couple of months... the logs will probably show nothing by now but petitioning it at the time may have gotten you a BPC in your hangar according to that thread. (can't be bothered to search for it atm)

If I can trust my memory I believe that someone from CCP posted on the thread and said it was an official bug and that it should be petitioned.
Edit --- This is the thread. Note that CCP Dropbear originally said that it should be petitioned but then retracted and said that as there was no way to verify the claim through logs you wouldn't get reimbursed after all.
