I am looking for details on how the base material multiplier for advanced ship assembly arrays is calculated, but was only able to find the common waste equations so far - which do not take an additional baseMaterialModifier into account.
Example: Advanced Medium Ship Assembly Array
Building a ship using this assembly array entails another 10% waste - but where exactly is that being applied?
Say we use a ME -4 blueprint that requires 1000 units of some material at perfect ME.
ME -4 NPC factory: 1000 + 50% waste = 1500 units ME -4 AMSAA equation 1: (1000 + 50% waste) => 1500 + 10% materialmodifier = 1650 units ME -4 AMSAA equation 2: 1000 + (50% waste + 10% materialmodifier) => 1000 + 60% = 1600 units
Much appreciated if someone has serious experience in that and could confirm either one equation or provide a link.

AFAIK: It doesn't increase waste (waste only applies to some materials). It increases ALL material cost. Add 10% to the required materials.
I've never actually heard of anyone using those arrays.

Yeah, makes sense to apply it to the base material requirements and not relate it to the waste equation. But does that go only for raw materials or also for extra materials?
Extra materials = R.A.M.s and T1 ships. Wouldn't make a difference in most cases, but theres also the rapid assembly array which entails such a material modifier as well (iirc, not in game atm). Things like (e.g.) Javelin Torpedos have 60 units of Rocket Fuel as an extra material requirement on top of the raw materials, so if the base material modifier applies there too it would make them consume 66 instead of 60 units for extra materials.
I've also yet to see someone using it, because those additional 10% kill the profit on invented BPCs - but for the sake of completeness I am looking for that little detail.
