Dear moderators. Saying that i am not gratified what ccp is doing seems to be considered as ranting. Why is that?
Somehow i canŠt find any sections on rules saying that announcing oneŠs disappointment to something that ccp is doing is prohibited. If i say that i am disappointed in way ccp handles itŠs relations to players i seem to be true as even moderators canŠt make their decisions look clear.
All i am saying is that the reason for giving out information about anything seems to be linked to prevent people quitting their playing instead of telling the truth. That doesnŠt seem to be part of that fine community that people are talking about here.

Edited by: Jim Steele on 24/11/2004 14:43:14 im sure ccp welcome constructive critisism but occasionaly a discussion turns into a rant..
Originally by: forum rules Ranting is prohibited A rant is a post which is long-winded, redundant and filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.
Post constructively. Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are insulting and rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

I'm not a mod, so no doubt you won't welcome my comments but I'm going to spout anyway...
I actually agree with you that CCP are not the world's best communicators.
I disagree with your views on IT project management but that's for another thread.
Your remarks regarding CCP and the failing you perceive them to have have most likely been dismissed as a rant for the following reasons:
1) You called them liars with absolutely no basis for such a claim.
2) You called them 'moneygreedy' + an expletive.
I fear many would regard a complaint in which those two things were embedded as a rant.
