Hello there Jidyfly Boirelle,
Mining is always a solid choice to start with for new players (the game is so deep and complex that it pays to have something to do while you think about everything you can eventually do!) and we'll be happy to share what we've learned as you continue to grow as a miner. However, we would also love to show you other aspects of EvE that may not be immediately obvious.
My Corporation, WKDKC, is focused on exploration and industry. When we are away from our mining ships, we explore the far reaches of space (low-sec, null-sec, and wormholes) in search of hidden archaeological sites, untapped data centers, and pirate strongholds in deadspace. We love exploration because it comprises much of the EvE experience and packages it in a fun and fulfilling way. You learn how to scan, basic combat, and self defense against other pilots. It is also very rewarding.
Although we are a very young corporation run by very youthful (SP-wise) pilots, we have made many friends and have experienced parts of EvE that others will never get a chance to either out of fear or out of being trapped in a Corporation or Alliance with "set ways."
We don't have much to offer, but we are proud nonetheless with what we have to offer:
* Tight-knit group of pilots * we do not post recruitment ads. Instead, we selectively invite pilots to join us. We've found success in this approach, allowing us to build a strong core.
* Fun-oriented * we are a mature group of players that realize real-life comes first. Therefore, we do not have required play times. Instead, we build our nights based on who is available and on at spur-of-the-moment basis.
* Mining/WH/DED ops * however, when we do engage in such events, we offer fleet bonuses to combat and mining as well as logistical support such as ore buyback program and hauling services.
* Exploration * it is in our opinion, that exploration is one of the most entertaining aspects of EvE as it incorporates everything that makes EvE special.
