Urgh after 1.1 patch I'm getting this message after I warp somewhere.
Generally I want to warp to a point and drop scan probes to begin scanning. Now I have to wait about 10s before I can do this.
Anyone else experiencing this odd error? Why does my ship have to align to a magnetic field? Huh? |

Got the same message after undocking and tried to selfdestruct.
Had to do another action first (stop ship)...

That's because your ship contains too many ferromagnetic metals. You could try removing a few armor plates , for starters. |

Yeah I kept getting that message all night. Drop out of warp and try to launch probes, message pops up and keeps popping up until my ship is barely moving. Probe launcher makes no sound for me either. |

This is due to the missile changes. Probe launcher used to have a similar sound as the rocket launcher, but since the new missiles the probe launcher now drops probe in stealth mode...
plz CCP bring back the probe launcher sound!!

It's CCP simply introducing more lag into the game. How can you complain about lag when it says "Please wait".

So the issue is that after dropping out of warp, you can't do anything at all ship wise until you come to a complete stop?
If the case, something is bugged. I haven't noticed this, but I also haven't undocked since Saturday. |

I've experienced this issue when trying to launch scanner probes, after coming to a rest after having warped somewhere in a system. I got the "your ship is realigning its magnetic field message" for about 7 or 8 seconds when trying to launch the first probe.
My probe launcher also red-cycled 6 or 7 times after launching the first probe. Finally it quit red-cycling and I was able to launch the second probe.
edit: just experienced it a 2nd time... I got that message until I decelerated to about 1 meter per second, then I could launch my probes. http://d.asset.soup.io/asset/1579/1917_fe03.gif |

This issue has been reported on the 1.1 issues thread as well, but no dev response yet.
Funnily enough, I searched Google for the exact phrase and what turned up was logs from 2003 :) So maybe this is a really old bug. |

I'm getting this same issue when I drop out of warp and try to drop probes. I have to wait for 10 seconds after dropping out of warp (the point where interference from warp no longer affects my modules), before I can drop probes. Undocking from a station or jumping through a stargate doesn't affect them, only warping that I've found so far. A corpmate has been reporting a similar issue. Is this a big or was it added in intentionally? If the latter it's incredibly frustrating. |

The same bullsh*t is happening with interdictor probes. Kinda sucks when you come out of warp on top of a gang & can't drop your bubble for ten seconds. Crap "feature" is crap.

I read in another thread about bomb runs, that this bug can be circumvented by moving the ship (double click in space).
To empathize a bit more: MOVE YOUR SHIP TO FIX THIS.
Or doesn't it work anymore? |

Now here was me thinking it was because a ship coming onto grid had to wait 10 seconds before it could do anything. I am sure it was the same for probes. Now we have a message to tell us to wait, instead of spam clicking :). Not sure about interdiction bubbles though. I would have thought they would be instant once on grid.

Never was a problem before, unless this was a stealth bug-fix. I could launch probes as soon as I came out of warp and started decelerating to stop. Now I have to wait until I'm at about 10m/s. |

As a self-proclaimed abuser of pod expressing i can say that this is old mechanic. Has always been there. That is the 10 second "invulnerability" that ever player has after leaving the station. (You can't lock him)
However i did not know that this also applied to leaving warp .... The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die. |

Oh and if you checked, you'd see this was already addressed in that forum, and a fix is in the works. (see post #40)

I noticed this a couple weeks ago, all you have to do double click somewhere when you drop out of warp, then you can drop probes immediately.
It seems like they added something like a 10 second debuff when dropping from warp, but like I said moving a little fixes it. |

It is exactly that. It's why you don't touch anything when doing undock checks on a camped station. You have 10 seconds where they can't lock you. But if you take an action, you forfeit that safeguard. The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die. |
