my account is active, played just fine BEFORE the patch, now ive been sitting here 45 minutes trying to log on. What is the freakin deal?
its just sitting at activating character and doesnt move a inch
did you guys nerf the login?
is it going to take me a hour just to log on from now on? if so just tell me and ill nixx my account. no big deal.
i just think if i pay to play a game , i SHOULD be able to log in............

I have the same problem - i cannot log my char on -
I click CmDo and it fades to black and then says
Logging In
Entering Game As CmDo
And goes no further! I have waited and waited and NOTHING happens!

me too
it says entering station, gets 80% than stops, eve hasnt crashed and i can hear the station sound effects. But before i got this far i did receive about 6 exception errors:(
Would be nice off ccp to actually acklowledge there is a problem, cant beleive they they*****ed up logon:(
Have been trying for the past 3 hours, problem keeps repeating and it takes about 30 mins to get this far.

Had the same problem the first time starting after patching - I could see the character screen, but clicking on the character did not do anything. I killed the process (Windows Task Manager), restarted and everything went fine. It seemed to retrieve a lot of data when I could eeventually login to the station, but since then I didn't have any problems. Great update...

click on me character to activate......and then nothing at all......and i've got EVE running on a clean XP install with nothing else on it....I guess its got something to do with 10,000 players trying to download Exodus......bugger

Some people have no problems atm. And some cant do anything (yeah, i manage to log in after 30 minutes of waiting, but i cant move, or do anything).
CCP, what the **** is going on ???

heh, wish I could even get as fare as you guys lol. the game won't autopatch , it takes over 3 hours to read 59% of the download then freezes. same deal with the manual patch, I canm only download 3.05MB of the patch and it freezes. Im on cable internet connection and the download speed is like dialup. I don't want to reinstall the eve cause I have ass loads of BMs that will be screwed if I do

I have the same issue. It takes about 15 minutes ot log in. Also, I lost connection to server twice, so for 30 minutes behind eve, I played 2 minutes so far and spent the rest of the time connecting and reconnecting. I did not have this problem before patch.
Also, I typed 1 line in corp chat and the chat window became immediately bugged...I know this is another issue altogether.

just keep it easy, never pour s**t over ppl in panic. gamedev is like combat, it never goes as planned. accept the new situation and adapt to it, i.e. monitor the forums and other accessible places if youre furiously determined to change that SHORT TERM training of yours ;)

Entering Game as Darial.....Failed....Black Screen.
Alt works, 2nd account works, main doesn't.
Main is in MN5N-X.
Some corp mates having same problem, from what I can tell all their characters with problems are in MN5N-X too.
Now I'm not saying everyone with this problem is in MN5N-X but maybe theres some systems with serious problems, perhaps a server reboot would fix us all ?

per other people i'm talking to in game, it seems like it's happening with characters in alot of fountain systems, especially around core... everybody log in on a char that isnt' in fountain region and file a stuck petition, if you have to, make an alt and do it from there... maybe we can help them notice a pattern if everybody petitions...

=UPDATE= I managed to log in with an alt, create a stuck petition and got help by a GM within 30 minutes.
Im now shaken, but happily unstuck.

Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.
i can ping the server so i know communication is going out. Any Ideas PLEASE

I haven't been able to log in with my main for over an hour. I've already petitioned, but still can't get in. And to make matters worse, I had a skill that was due to be done training in about 5 mins when I was knocked off the server, and I had just come back from a mission well within the time frame. So not only have I lost at least 45 mins of precious training time, but I also lost out on my time bonus.

Many systems seem to be stuck. Log in with an alt, check the map for your mains system, and if there is nobody in space or docked then you know the drill.Unless your in some dead end system, of course.

Everything worked fine until the patch downloaded and ran to update my files. Now i really get nothing just the initial splash screen and sets there forever Program Not Responding.

Never had a login problem, even the 'Connection lost' problem was solved (at least for me). But now the market is broken and in some systems people get stuck in the jumpgates...
You don't miss anything, if you can't log in.

Same problem, stops once it gets to 'Entering game as...'.
I sent a stuck petition and got a response saying my character should now be fine, but nothing has changed, i still can't get in.
Problem is now that i can't petition again and can't see my petition that i sent to change it or let them know I'm still having problems!
What should we do to get them to help us?

Same problem, stops once it gets to 'Entering game as...'.
I sent a stuck petition and got a response saying my character should now be fine, but nothing has changed, i still can't get in.
Problem is now that i can't petition again and can't see my petition that i sent to change it or let them know I'm still having problems!
What should we do to get them to help us?

Yay GMs freed me, I reccommend nobody jump into Ami or Botane.

I have not been able to log on since the new Exodus update.
When I first installed the update I could not get pass the innitial login screen.
I am using windows 2000 with a rosewill Radeon 9600 128bit/128meg card.
I have 2x512 pc400 mem in dual channel mode
pentium 4 3.ghz 1 meg cache processor and a intel 865 motherboard
I have updated my BIOS, tried the newest rosewill and ATI video drivers. Re-installed Eve a few times. Turned off reboot on error in the win registry.
With all of these changes I was able to login, but after a few seconds my computer reboots. I have not discovered a way to fix this issue.
Any one having simular issues, or know anything I can try to fix the problem?
