just went on ts server the fps drops frpm 70 to 20-30 so its not 10 but it still suck..
Also i cant test on the test server see how it goes with other people shooting at me, but i'm guessing my pc will crash.
Which leads to the next point... yesterday my eve client went to another fps drop with 100% cpu usage on my pc.
When it recovered it poped me a "eve.exe something something" error and after 5min waiting for pc to recover after that as my mouse cursor wasn't moving anymore... my pc rebot... and wouldnt start anymore... after getting out of coma in which i saw only dead ccp people I decided to try to start it again (like 10 min of pc shut down). It worked... this time...

Forgot to mention:
1) Yes I did try everything from playing to min graphics settings up to setting priority high to eve exe file on my computer. Fps does go up alot up to 120 fps in "game runing normal mode" but when its does get the fps drop it gets down to 5-10 again.
2) I'm a pvper (or trying to be these days) and so far i lost to this bug 1 zealot, 1 purifier, 1 anathema.
I play so much wot these days its not even funny. I'm running out of tanks to research kind-of issue, and i don't even have a premium account.
Yesterday was my day off, which means day when I play 48 hours of eve (2 accounts for pvp, got a 3rd one but thats indi r/d for isk making :) ). Well guess what as soon as I loged into the game I undocked and game got unplayable. I didn't even had a chance to get up the second account. got so frustrated that I just closed it and went to wot...
CCP get this fixed soon or you gonna lose me and my 3 accounts.
There is no point for me to pay for a game that gets me pissed to the point I wanna play something else.
Stop been so stupid and just make **** back the way it was before the fuckup. Its no shame in admitting you're retards once every now then. |

ive been mucking around with this, & ive been getting a FPS drop when jumping through a gate & uncloaking. I have a GTX 580.
This should not be happening. Now Alt-Tabbing into windows & back to eve resloves the drop.
So i saw someone mention about overclocking. i have the 2600K Core i7 & over clocked it from the 3.4GHz to 4.6GHz..
So i put it back to default, the 3.4GHz, & so far, ive had no FPS issues whilst jumping. Strange, but its fixed the issue.
Anything related here? Is it worth taking a look at overclocked machines?
& this is allways with max graphics settings enabled. |

Considering all the later threads it appears to me you guys have not in fact found the issue and a fix. I have lost all ability to play this game on my desktop. Before the Inferno patches I could run two clients windowed. After one of the followup inferno patches the game started occasionally freezing and then recovering. It kept getting worse from there. Now the freezes are every minute.
It may be a single problem with the game is manifesting as lockups for some and frame rate slow downs for others. All of the problems people have been posting suggest something in the game is not getting along with video drivers of all kinds.
Please do get a promising lead and fix the game. I miss my dual windowed desktop eve. I can play one client on my lappy still. But one client and the small screen is not much fun. Let me know what info I can send you about the two systems and their settings so you can figure out what is different and thus what in the client is not getting along with video drivers. |

Ive noticed a huge loss in fps in complex scenes, like an exploration site. I played with the settings while in such a site and found the Shadows setting had the biggest effect. Disabling shadows raised my fps from 3 to 10. Still low, but it does take the game from virtually unplayable, to playable but annoying.
Second biggest effect was the Anti Aliasing setting.
CCP: Spawn yourself a large Omber deposit and check it out.
