you know, the message "you are #xxx in the queue, blaaaa". You arent going to log in ever anyways, so WHY the hell is there that damned message if the only way to log in is restarting the client???
I mean, why not just show a message and close the client after that? This would be probably better than fooling customers and let them wait for eternity for something what would never happen!!

It's part of the old queue system the client had in mid 2007 I believe since I certainly remember it then. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

The thing is I certainly remember it working sometime in 2007 when EVE had the client launcher instead of going straight into the game, when it reached the end of the queue it would log in and launch the game software itself. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

Well its not doing it anymore. It reaches the end and then does nothing, you have to take care and hit the login button. Its such a waste of my free time and it happens often.
So please fix it or take it away.

Last time I was put in a queue, number was over a hundred. Killed the process, tried again -- instant login. Worked for all the login queues I've had.
Not sure why there is a queue if there really doesn't seem to be a need to actually wait it out.

REMOVE THE BROKEN, USELESS QUEUE!!
Yeah, never understood the whole login queue thing. I used to wait it out but never once did it actually put me in game... really stupid. But logging out / in would usually get me in no matter how long this "queue" said I had to wait.
edit: and just to remind you, there is still no divider between posts and sigs.

I all but forgot about the queue, never get it nowadays. However it does have a function. It acts as a buffer, since there is no way to control how many people will try to log in at a given time. The queue is there to make sure, that if more people try to log in than login server can handle, they will be queued untill login server is ready for them.
In the past it has worked well, before the mayor server updates CCP has done. (Back when 10k online players would case server lag og downtime)...
As i hear it, I belove your not actually in the queue. But rather you client for some reason thinks it is. (possibly something with lag/ping times?)...
