Ok here's the mission description:
In recent weeks the station manager on Dresi I -
Moon 17 - Civic Court Tribunal has had to close
a number of factories and now he fears that the
disgruntled workforce may riot. He has sent out
a plea to all stations in the region to supply him
with as much spirits as we can, in the hope that
a drunken haze may calm the workers. I have
318 crates lying around here, but I only have 24
hours to get them to Dresi I - Moon 17 - Civic
Court Tribunal. I'll pay you 92000 for completing this task.
Now I start my flight out and I get to the second gate and I get an eve-mail:

Type: Spirits (x 318)
Standing Penalty: 0.05
Fine: 159159.0 ISK

This happened a second time at the next gate, thats nearly 300k in fines for a 92k mission reward and I lost standing with everyone (amarr empire, sarum, and my agent) wtf, the mission was assigned by the amarrs and their fining me for doing their mission. Should've let the damn factory riot lol.

Submit a petition and a bug report. I'm doing the same for a trade mission involving viral agent, if everyone does it maybe CCP will change things; at the very least the rewards need to be increased to compensate for the illegal nature of the goods.

Ok, I have a whole heap of small arms lying
around waiting to get into the hands of some of
our fighters. What I need you to do is to ferry
16 guns for me to Nererut V - Moon 12 - Amarr
Constructions Production Plant. You'll get 23000
for making the trip, all the while helping out the
cause. It doesn't get much better than this!

hmm, indeed this is a problem, it would be nice if ccp would at least answer some of the stuff that is going on, come on ccp wakeup !

I got a mission from my R&D agent needing plutonium..which I can't buy in the current region because its illigal. Found it 5 jumps out in another region and head back.
Fined 4 times and accidently clicked "Ok .. take it".. not out of plutonium and my agent still wants the blasted stuff.
****ed off I am.. if agents want illigal stuff .. give us customs papers to transport this stuff! or a way to avoid customs! geees..
cancelled the mission.. my R&D agent isn't too happy with me :(

i had same thing when doing lvl 4 agent missions on shiva...
my problem was that i was doing minmatarr mission which involved killing amarr slavers, returning the slaves etc...
problem was amarr custom officers tend to hang out in minmatarr space, ended up just them trying to kill me but nowhere near enough dmg.
i sent report saying how this would make most missions pointless at times, seeing as u can often be carrying items that 1 side doesn't want.
but i was unsure if the customs were after me cuz i had their slaves, just for having slaves (which i took from them to give for mission), or cuz i had amarr dogtags from killing the slavers :/
glad to see the bug report was put to good use 0o

Is it possible to use Cargo containers to transport goods that may be illegal in certain regions? I know you can't do it with slaves but you might be able to sneak around like that.
Might be worth a try, I will give it a shot.
Just an idea...
