A common complaint about item permissions in EVE is that in every corp, there is always at least 1 person capable of single-handedly stealing everything, with the only exception being locked down BPOs. I propose the following, or some variant of it:
Each hangar division (or station) could be given a restriction, in addition to the existing ones, on how many people with particular roles need to be approve in order to take things. e.g. 3 directors, 2 Caretakers, 2 Starbase Config Managers, with the CEO counting as a director. This would work instantly, with no 24hr delay built in.
I'd suggest implementing this via the right-click 'deliver item' option, so that when an attempt is made to move an item from one hangar to a less restricted one, it becomes temp. locked (and grayed out) until enough people have approved the action. A list of pending partially approved actions could be made viewable via the corporation window, just like the list of sanctionable actions.

bu..bu....eve is supposed to be risky! that would be....smart! it would take the risk out.
should've learned by now that carebears aren't allowed to do smart things that reduce risk. dur dur dur. not without a horde of carebear pvp forum warriors complaining about the idea.
that being said... i don't really care either way! |

i dont know what your smoking but talk to your dealer as it musta been a bad batch
on to the OP thats a good idea really as if you just read the news boards one of the directors of Goonswarm appearntly just killed the alliance and grabed 1T+ isk . needless to say having to have 3-5 plp saying that a function can happen would be a goood idea

That's certainly the most recent, prominent example. Ricdic's EBANK heist was of a similar order of magnitude, and there have been plenty of others (someone looted about about 300bn from evol a few years ago, for example). Let's not even talk about the 'Disband Alliance' or 'Surrender' buttons

To clarify, i am not opposed to this idea, i was simply expecting hundreds of forum warrior carebear PVP'ers to descend upon and troll this thread for making an aspect of the game easier/simpler. |
