I have gotten a email with Reactivate NOW for Five Days PLUS a Free Gift exactly the same as eve-online one but leads to a phishingsite as so my browser says.
is this really from eve-o or is it a fake and they wanna steal my isk ?

Just don't follow any email links, ever. What's so hard about that? :)
If it was legit, you could manually browse to eveonline account management, login and see if theres a nice reactivation button for you or not. Please re-size your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels. Zymurgist |

A general rule of thumb is that if it's a legit mail, then it will include your account name and character name somewhere.
I get this mail you speak of on a waaay to regular basis. But it's fake indeed.

Hello everyone,
This mail being sent out is a fake and players should not click on any links. The original five day reactivation mail was sent out on December 18, 2009.
It should also be noted that all genuine campaigns are personalized and will come from [email protected].

Edited by: NightmareX on 05/02/2010 15:43:47 Here is a very good tips for you. If you put the mouse pointer over the Reactivate Now button in that E-Mail, you will then see the link to the address your going to enter if you press that link.
IF THAT LINK HAVE '119.202.196.219/slo/cache/' IN IT'S ADDRESS, THEN DO NOT PRESS THE LINK AT ALL. Just to be sure nothing goes wrong.
Yes i have got that fake mail to, so it's 110% fake.

Originally by: CCP Navigator It should also be noted that all genuine campaigns are personalized and will come from [email protected].
The from: address is defined by the sender and thus not a reliable indicator. Most email clients allow you to specify it at will.
The only reliable indication is the destination of the link. If that's not eveonline.com, ignore the mail. Even if it is, just browse to the site manually. Please re-size your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels. Zymurgist |
