Yah. Hi.
<- got up at 4 in the morning to shovel about 100 yards of 1 1/2 - 2 feet of snow only to see the road connected to our development hasn't been plowed either!
Sup?

/ very happy that I live south of Ashalnd, Va
From experience, I highly suggest that you start shoveling now because it will be a hell of a lot easier to shovel now before that foot and a half turns into 2+ feet of icy blocks of snow.

i have this handy machine that i just push two handles down and walk behind it, and bam 18" of snow get thrown 10-15' away. the snowblower is the greatest winter device ever in the burbs.
that said dont be shocked if the city slacks on plowing your development, compared to when i lived in CT these mid Atlantic states are half assed on snow clearing.(SNJ here) |

Yes it is "half assed," but you can not expect the mid atlantic states to heavily fund snow removal when this type of weather is a once every few years occurrence and close to a decade in others.
EDIT: Snow blowers are great fun compared to the traditional shovel techniques

Apparently this is post worthy in the US :/ Over here in this little part of the world, we've had -20C(-4F) to -30C(-22F) for two weeks and about three times as much snow... haven't missed a single day of work and car starts just fine at -30C. EW Guide - Music Downloader - My Music |

i am kinda surprised this has gotten as much world news coverage, really its just a snow storm. and on the weekend the impact is minimal since most workers wouldn't work today anyway.
it was something to see an army HUMVEE stuck, guess they cant go everywhere!

i think it is because news teams like filming people who live in parts where they don't traditionally get a lot of snow suddently get burried under a few feet of it - more fun this way than filming canadians in snow for example

all said they should have kept congress in session, that much hot air would have kept it rain over DC.

Snow is something that you would much rather have then earthquakes. lets just say that snowstorms dont level cities, delay the world series and drop sections of the bay bridge onto the lower deck.

Stop complaining and stop shoveling, or fit some tracks under your car But then again I cant really approve of any of this because this is my signature |
