Inflation for the PLEX in game can be regulated by CCP who would distribute or sell less PLEX bought on the website the same way the government stop making money (literally) and let the existing monies circulate the market. If the market needs more PLEX, then the CCP would sell more PLEX on the website again to stimulate the PLEX market in game.
PLEX are like stock certificates having value. It not only contains 30 days of playing time, but it also has the value of approximately $15 out of game. However, the value of the PLEX in game are irrelevant.

Sure, PLEX can be traded for profit in the game. But what if those PLEX items become scarce when players use the 30 day playing time? Imagine what the price would be for PLEX in game.

It would go up until people started buying GTCs and converting them to PLEXes and flooding the market which would drop the prices back down again.
Look at the graph for the past year in the market window. They went from 300 mil to 400 mil then down to the current prices in about 2 months.
It's called supply and demand.
It has also been detailed in the QEN's over the past year.

PLEX for ISK trading has been around I know at least as long as I have been playing (a year or better) but it hasn't even paused the ISK spamming near as anyone can tell. Given the in game evidence, your post smacks of ignorance at best, and arrogant stupidity at worst.

I'll repeat my comment from the other thread - this is not the time to be buying PLEX with RL cash. This is the time for people with lots of ISK to be buying PLEX. There is a huge surplus of PLEX due to the "PLEX for Fanfest" promotion (well, and the associated mad buying spree of people trying to cash in on the demand, which drove the price up, which lead to more people buying PLEX to feed to the market for ISK).
So Khaiyim, I think you have it back to front - at this point in time you'd be better off pointing out to people that they can get their game time for "free", by buying PLEX with ISK.
Here's to raising general awareness of the PLEX market!

Thank you Mara. I have to say that PLEX concept is a bit confusing. I'll take your advice and see what happens.
