Ok so I put in a petition for this a few days ago and was just wandering if anyone has had any experience or knowledge on a similar predicament.
I recently came back from a few day vacation to find out that my 'friend', we're not talking, decided that I don't need to play eve anymore. He logged onto my accounts and deleted what characters he could.
Yea I know he shouldn't be able to log on to my accounts. I had the info in a folder by my comp with all my maps and so forth.
Anyway the thought of starting over, which I've already done in the past few days while waiting for a petition response, is killing me.
My main, and 2 alts are gone. About 2-3years of playtime and several billion in assets.
Is there any chance of recovery? I don't know how the info is handled on the tranquility server or if its still there after deletion. Could the characters be rebuilt from the most recent Sisi info?
I've read the UELA and it states that only corrupt characters can be rebuilt but. . . . I guy can hope right.
Might be time to move on I guess....

You might want to take a step back and decide whether it's worth starting from scratch. Though if you do, make sure you pick a completely different path (different ships, different professions, etc) or you'll be bored out of your mind quite soon.
confirming being bored out of my mind after 2 days of starting from nubdom.

If your account was hacked, I've heard stories of CCP restoring characters (not sure about assets).
If they knew your password because you had given it to them at some stage, then it would be your fault and CCP would not do anything. Accounts and/or passwords aren't meant to be shared according to the EULA.

Yea this is what I'm hoping. Its not exactly hacked in that my information was stolen through some email scam or something I guess but it is unauthorized entry. I mean hell, if I wanted to erase the guy I would have at least dumped all my assets outside of Amarr station or something more interesting.
Hell someone could have had my stuff if I wanted to give up eve. Could of had some fun with it at least.
This is a sh**ty way to go tbh.

Yea so will I.......... if anyone ever answers. You'd figure petitions in the EULA category titled "Unauthorized account access" or "Hacked" or "Stolen" or some variation thereof would get someone's attention and at least warrant a response of some sort.
