I had one of my accounts stolen a few days after downloading this program does anyone know if it contains any key loggers? Perhaps it's just a coincidence but I don't use my alt account info anywhere else so I cannot think of any other ways it could be stolen.

Try run it through http://www.virustotal.com/ if it shows up then it might be the cause. Either way I have no idea, the author site of it doesn't seem to exist any longer.

Edited by: Jennifer Rizea on 09/02/2010 14:02:34 I've been using that program for about two weeks now, I'd guess. Well. Account's still mine, apparently.
That website's still up, if I recall correctly. And the program itself works great for other games I wanted to play in windowed-fullscreen.
Where did you download your copy from, that might be it?

--edit; huh, I guess it is down.

I have never used it, I only googled the name and what seemed to be the author site wasn't online.
There any recent thread of the software here?

Evemon does the same, and perfectly safe. |

Edited by: Jennifer Rizea on 09/02/2010 14:10:48 It's not really that popular, I think.
I actually still have EVEMon handling my multi-monitor dual client setup, though I got it to play other games in faux fullscreen.
Uh .. I'll look and see if I can find something on it.

'You are going too fast! Wait five minutes and try again.' Bah. Might as well add something; How come only one of your accounts was stolen? If there was indeed a keylogger in this program, wouldn't all of the accounts be taken?
---
Also, EVEMon only works for EVE, hence the name. Though if that was your only intention I suppose EVEMon would be a better idea.

This is a good point. On the other hand the account name and password are so obscure and only created for EVE, that it makes no sense someone can just guess them.

Which doesn't really matter if it was a keylogger, does it? They'd have had both (or, put here however many accounts you have) usernames and passwords for both accounts.
Which then doesn't really explain why only one was taken. Something you overlooked, maybe?

evemon no longer does it automatically, which is a god send if you use two monitors, but a pain in the ass when i only use one for eve. ------

I've been using it for over 18 months without any issue so far.
