no
real easy to find.
go into a system, any system and do some max range scanning.
you'll know within 3 system scans from 3 different planets if something is there or not.
if not, move on try again.
good luck to ya, they are all over. it won't take long to find a system with one.
might take a good bit longer finding it.

If you mean deadspace colonies/complexes or whatever, I saw one yesterday. Heavily protected blood raider complex, loads of NPCs (two 500k) and some deployable missile turrets, some beam turrets, a telescope of some sort and a small space station.
Got a kick of destroying everything Although I'm not sure if that was the point...
Anybody knows if destroying NPC pirate or P pirate structures raises your security standing?

No need to hop planets and scan, they show up on overview when you enter the system. Either they always do that, or both systems with complexes i have been to, have been tiny. ___________________________ Chicks dig Brutor's |

Why bother system scanning
Right click the square on the left of "Overview", and enter the list where you click "show/don't show". Press the "show beacons button"... Now it will show on your autoscanner

You can also get Deadspace locations from agents. Originaly there were mainly two types of missions: Kill and Transport (hauling) with some Trade ones thrown in every now and then. Now Deadspace ones are rather commen (if your using security agents) which is sort of the same thing as finding a deadspace gate. -----------------

Deadspace complexes have a celestial beacon in the first deadspace pocket. They will appear in the Overview window if you right click on the top of it and select "Show Beacons" in the type selector.
They are called all sorts of names, like Angel's Red Light District, Guristas Scout Outpost and Crimson Hand Supply Depot. Just warp in and check. You might stumble across something nobody's seen before ;)

the new manual indicates that there might also be complexes that dont have a beacon.
