I've finally gotten wise to the fact that Deadspace mission are bugged beyond anything acceptable for release. I've accepted five of them so far and four out of those five had nothing at the waypoint when I got there. And yes, I've tried warping in at 15km, I've tried relogging, I even retried after the server reboot.
My standing with my favorite corp has now been totally ruined because I've had to abort these missions. (Why you lose more standing from aborting then you gain when successful is beyond my understanding as well.) My petitions have gone unanswered as well which makes me feel like I am getting screwed for the money I spend ever month.
I am one of those players that do nothing but missions and this bug has essentially destroyed my gaming experience.
CCP way to release something before it had been sufficiently tested. Very impressive.

people like you make me cry ...
its the 2nd day after the patch, there are some bugs left Oveur told us a client side fix is comming.
However sad it may be for you, please just keep a realistic view at things. Its not the end of the world, it will get fixed and your standing will get fixed if you petition it.
Try to realize you just got a expansion for free. While with other MMORPG's like planetside you have to pay 60Dollar for a totally ******* useless expansion.
So stop your ******* whine. Petition and go mine for once .. -----------------------

I agree that yes they are bugged and yes it does suck that you lose more standing then you gain
But
It's not CCP's fault that whenever I connected to the Shiva Test server to test stuff I only ever saw 500 people on it at most
There is a huge difference between the 4000 - 10000 people that play on singularity to the people that were testing on the test server. With that many people new problems are bound to arrise that weren't there before

The thing is, those expansions are purely optional. EVE's expansion is mandatory. If an expansion in those other games are buggy, you can wait until it's fixed before getting it. If you're actually wanting to play EVE, you've got no such option. Personally, I'm disappointed that such serious and obvious bugs still exist after a three-week delay. A few oddities and waves of lag after a new patch are pretty much par for the course, and usually get ironed out after a short while. But something like this, it makes it very difficult to progress (and can actually result in losing what you've already accomplished) if you're doing agent missions. Hopefully we'll get status restored from any failed/aborted deadspace missions, in recompense for the inability to actually finish many of these missions.

Also, what is 'sufficient testing'? You mean like 6,000 manhours? 12,000? .

Edited by: Nehver Heather on 25/11/2004 18:42:01 I have to agree with Timmy. @ Martinus, Try to realise what a pathetic loser you are. If you're not gonna respond with something at least half decent, please dont bother. There was no need for the abusive language. @ Bahg, then.. exactly whose fault is it?
If the ppl who applied for testing, actually did test it & reported the bugs instead of sitting outside the stations self destructing, then something may have been done about the bugs.

Ive had the nothing at waypoint mission aswell, its not cool. I was running missions on sisi last sunday and all these deadspace missions were disabled, as far as i can tell they were not properly tested externally at least.

I know Siddy, we lost 2 out of 4 bs in a MASS group that went into a mission spawn. The first guy got there, and when the next person arrived he bumped the first guy 200km away, this kept happening, each time leaving some guy to get killed by 30 frigs and cruisers (btw, you might say that's not very hard for a bship, the one guy had 2 Accoms and 4 hardeners running non stop and he died in just over a minute in an Apoc).
These things need some serious looking into, I can't imagine how many petitions CCP must have by now.
