Nothing wrong with the server....
Blame your computer, your ISP, or their interconnect partners....

hmm... southeast US has ISP problems?
I don't think it's eve server problems, more like the area's ISP, or something inbetween. ---

it's regional I live in that area and I'm sure it's on my end somewhere.
People from other region ingame and other national blocs report no problems, at least none like I have had.
Lots of socket closed.

I think it's related to the pipe we use to connect to the server across the pond or a router somewhere. I haven't had any issues on any other websites.

I too can't log on. Seems to be a problem with one of the clusters.
Tell you what thought, I just decided yesterday to come back to EVE after not playing since release. I don't have much money and will be very ****ed if I loose my Mark V!

Sockets closing is what I'm getting too. It's not crazy bad, but I'm not launching drones. I'm in North Carolina atm and I'm streaming live broadband radio np so it's not my connection...

Nope its not my end just ran some tests to check connection on my end.Ping tests as we ll everything is fine on my end. I was getting wrong server ip,then 26th que in line to get in. Lag spikes but my computer is running fine. Teamspeak is fine. Other online games are working perfectly no lag. So it seems to be on CCP's end not mine other programs would be affected.

Painted the important part red....
My guess is that one of the Atlantic connections has developed a fault causing it to drop connections now and then.... There's nothing CCP can do about it...

ATT Uverse. Houston TX
Any site that is probably in US. Fast and responsive. Any site that i know is in EU. Unresponsive, or almost impossible to use but still accessible (barely) (eveonline.com)
My guess. A major pipe is disrupted between US and EU.

There's a sharp difference between accessing a website and an online MMO game. The website uses short-lived connections while the game uses one or more long-lived ones.
You're far more likely to notice when a long-lived connection drops.... It is also far more likely that such a connection will be dropped if a link is overloaded.
Since the southern US seems to be only place affected, that really IS the place to look for the problem....
