I just upgraded my computer and set myself free from vista. While using vista I always played the game in windows mode and would drag the window up to the top of my screen so I could no longer see the top border (where it has the minimize and close button).
Now that I have windows 7 its not allowing me to hide the top like I used to be able to, I can drag the game up but it automatically drops it back down.
Is there anyway to change my Win 7 setting so it'll allow me to hide this again?
(I do this because I want it to look like its in fullscreen but beable to use my 2nd monitor w/o it automatically minimizing the game)) |

There's a super hidden option in the control panel to disable the stupid Win 7 captions behavior. It's something like in the "simplified access" options.

i am haveing the same prob but cant find what you guys where doing. so can anyone explain how to do this iam a bit of a noob when it comes to a pc

download eve launcher if its still available, good program for positioning your window-mode eve client correctly on your screen. can handle up to 4 clients
evemon does the same but for only 2 clients i think.

i still like shiftwindow.
can be used for most programs. used it for anarchy online, uo, startrek online , tabula rasa with success
rared it together with a rules files to show how it mostly works.
sorry no manual
but it rocks :P
shiftwindow.rar
just run it as shiftwindow.exe rules.swr to load the file and get a clue how i do the stuff (2 monitor user here)

Thanks guys! If I may elaborate for those that need it more broken down.
-Go to control panel
-Then click on Ease of Access
-Click on Ease of Access Center
-Go down until you see "make it easier to focus on tasks" then click on it!
-Go under the heading "make it easier to manage windows" and check the box that says "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen"!
-Go to the bottom click "Apply"
-Click "Ok"

Anyone know any way to keep it from automatically dropping windows down from the top without turning off the other auto arrange features? I like being able to snap things to either side, but hate with a passion the inability to push windows up and the auto maximizing when windows are snapped to the top.
