I got a fancy pants hauler spawn (Blood loader) at a gravimetric site last week. That fellow could teleport around the grid. Initial appearance was 31-ish km away from me. It teleported itself at the complete opposite of the grid shortly after my loldrones started gnawing on it. It sat there just outside my max drone control range. I approached it and it teleported again just before I could send the drones away. I choosed to ignore. 15k Pyrite is just that. It teleported two more times after seamingly settling for a comfy spot 120km away from me. At this point, Im like "vacuum on this". I docked up and came back with a 9 km/s Dramiel. The lil bugger still managed to teleport once more before I could get him... but 9 km/s is nice. I got it at the second pass but I digress...
Is this normal and expected behavior for a hauler spawn?

From what I've experienced myself with the Sansha equivalent that appear in belts, yes.
It makes no sense, but every encounter I've had with them has been the same.

They have bookmarks on the grid and warp around between them. Just missing warp animation, is all.
