I just watched the station hangar fly through videos. They look real good and give a nice show. I only wish they had more different ships there, maybe someday they will.
Seeing those huge ships in huge hangars inside of a huge station in space it got me thinking ... how do they build it all :) I mean, even if humenkind would at the moment have endless resources, it would still take a century to build one station. It is just so huge and complex and its in space. Are the people of EVE using massive fleets of robots and drones? Or its all minmatar labor? :D
Can anybody recall a story in the chronicles or somewhere about building these things or the ships themselves. Or maybe a description how someone is walking around in a Titan or watching the Ships fly around in the hangar from a corridor inside station?
Its just so massive that its cool imo

I agree. Titans are gargantuan, but stations are even larger constructions. Some (specifically thinking about the Caldari factory/processing plant type) are more than 100km across according to the data in-game and that value seems reasonable when visually compared to ship sizes. Anyone recall a chron or news piece that touches on station building?

There are a few Prime Fiction texts that deal with building. The obvious is the Crielere short story, which tells the raise and fall of a research station in Crielere system. Building big things is also mentioned in passing by the Present Pieces chronicle.
Might be more, though I am not quite sure.

Stargates are also rather massive since a ship would have to fit inside them to be launched through jumpspace.

Titans
Here is a story about the building of the empires Titans, which are supposed to be even larger and more powerful then the ones seen in capsuleer alliances.

Sounds to me that the titans described there are just the ones players are bumping stargates with. Only maybe the jovian ones are cooler.

there is no story about full details on "how to" well if u look the empire systems (there was a topic about empire populations but forgot where) its trillions p: for amarr ships /bstrds :p/ they usin minmatar "labor" i remember at some old complexes there was a half build megathrone.. in deployable ship yard factory
but for answering your question : they are "imaginary" at some stories its just bein told like " amarr's ship yard system blabla attacked by blood raiders" etc.. too bad ccp ppl too lazy on these things (there is no MASS Ship Factories at somewhere... or i realy missed them....) if u join a 0.0 alliance/or any corp with some industrial backbone u can see lots of "ship factory" and "capital ship factory" well their sizes stupidly. mothership comin out of something that small than its hull..
i realy dont like current station sizes.. (it was much more smaller before some expansion..) look jita 4/4 for example few freighyer undocking from it and they are MUCH MUCH bigger than station..

there is a story about old man star (named appropriately enough "Old Man Star") about the building of a stargate, but it doesnt really give any idea to the scale of the project

i know the stargates took centuries to build. apperently we were able to modify ships to complete this task. even while at war with each other. i think ccp should have npc corps buildin new stargates and let us be able to see progress in game over time to eventually use that stargate.
