You can also add specific time markers to YouTube videos. For instance a direct link to this part of the presentation:

Unfortunately, there are some countries that aren't down with the idea that ideas can be exchanged freely and therefore restrict access to certain mediums of communication.
Also, as another kind of example: until very recently, the Department of Education in NSW, Australia blocked access to YouTube on our TAFE (college) computers.
(Strangely enough they still block the Bing search engine, lol)

*sigh*, I suppose it is meaningless trying to assert my own views and beliefs on another country where the ideals that I believe to be important are not necessarily considered important by the people there. ----------

Sorry but I don't see what's to get excited about when it comes to surveying minerals in planets etc...
Sounds like you'd need a POS for a start, and POS's as they are, are just a headache and besides noone less then a big alliance will hold down a planets for any length of time if they're actually worth mining.
How about actually helping out the little man by making typical mining more interesting and worth bothering with like you've been asked 1000 times?
Surverying mineral deposits in astoids and such is the kind of step up mining needs to be considered a real career and not to be scoffed at.
Sim City is coming to Eve? I'll have to wait and see I guess, far too sketchy to make an accurate judgement. As it stands I'm a bit underwhelmed.
Be interesting to see how you get contracts finished when the ones who complete them for you guys get bored and quit playing.

There goes what little was left of my life especially if, instead of giving my neighbor a brown cow, I can kill their brown cow with a virulent agent from my unregulated poultry farms and make sure their carrots don't grow because of cyanide contamination from my industrial plants.

Well, a lot of things aren't very clear yet but I think you are getting the wrong idea.
I don't think "surveying minerals" is going to be the extent of planetary interaction. It sounds like it will include a number of things including industry and agriculture.
I doubt that having a POS will have anything to do with it, and alliances won't own sections of planets. This is for individual players. Now a planet in 0.0 may very well have everyone from the same alliance owning slices of it, so that may be defacto control, but it also sounds like its going to be difficult to maintain total control in that fashion. Obviously in low and high sec this gets even more difficult.
Nothing wrong with asking for mining to be more interesting, however planetary interaction is also geared towards the "little man".
It should be more akin to Civilization than Sim City, but we'll see.
I don't see how contracts will be affected by players quitting then any more than it is now. With contracts you tend to commit your money/trade item up front.

Thanks for posting this. Apparently the vast majority of people who feel compelled to comment on planetary interaction have not seen this video and so are woefully uninformed.
Hopefully now there will be slightly less baseless whining.

Yours is that high?
Try this algorithm instead. You'll reach equilibrium a lot faster:
self.faithInHumanity = -1*(self.faithInHumanity^2) --Vel
