Ever tried to probe on low shader settings? Don't. It's not even worth bothering.
The crosshairs around the probe cubes dissapear as soon as they are overlapped by the sphere of another probe, let alone 2 (or 5).
Personally i don't use these low settings, but in that past i have been trying to educate people in the art and when i start talking about crosshairs, they have no idea what i am talking about. Only now having chanced upon the problem am i aware of how impossible it really is to probe with the low shader setting. I've spoken to a few people on the subject and got them to test this on other machines to the same effect.
Can something be done to improve the visibility of these probe relocation aids to better the player experience of those who are not able to run their clients at full graphical capacity?
I don't believe that something such as this should have to detriment someones ability to be effective at one of the more effective but less hardware intensive sides of the game.

Ps: Bring back the medium Shader settings. Eve looked better on med than it does on high anyway.

im in the process of upgrading my computer so ill put the settings back on high and give it a try, thanks.

I am playing on a 6 year old rig and when I heard about their plans to remove the medium shader settings I became really upset, because of this very annoying bug.
Effective probing on low shader settings is almost impossible, especially in tight combat situations.
Please fix low shader probing or bring back medium shader settings.

Back when I used my laptop I had this problem too. Low Shader probing makes the arrows REALLY dark, and I didn't even realize there were 50/25 % rings INSIDE the scan sphere till I got my new system and went up to high shaders. Please FIX how probing looks. It sucks when I cannot see or easily click (without clicking other objects) my arrows!

probing hasn't been looked at for 16 months. these things have all been mentioned back then and repeatedly ever since. they don't care about any of it.
we might very well be halfway through to the next iteration though, which will look "awesome" while failing on everything else. or... that's what i'm extrapolating from the trend of all the previous versions -.- - putting the gist back into logistics |

While this is completely the wrong forum for this discussion and it won't get changed anyway I might as well link the image I posted in one of the assembly hall threads on this so you know how it looks like:
