First off , no you can't have my stuff.
Iv just un subbed for the first time after 3.5 years of playing. Why because my PC is not up to spec to run eve, it's fine to silo on but in a fleet fight it lags so much it goes into a coma.
The reason I'm posting is my utter amazement at how easy it is to leave eve with absolutely no follow up from ccp. You dont even get an email asking for the reasons for leaving. You just click on two drop down boxes and hit continue and that's it.
Ccp you may as well have a picture of all the devs giving the middle finger while holding up a sign saying " cheers for the cash ,noob."

I actually like how easy it is to unsub. the many times I have(and come back of course). I like the no BS when canceling, I hate when companies throw me through loops to cancel a service. CCP and amazingly Blizzard let you do it in just a few clicks rather than making you play twenty questions.
Trust me if you have ever tried to cancel a cell phone you would know what horrible experience is when it comes to the other end of canceling a service. |

You're complaining about a company making it easy for you to unsubscribe instead of the usual butt penetration you get while trying to quit something? Why would you want a company to ask a billion questions of you before quitting? It's annoying.
You're upset because you think that they should be so concerned with the fact that you are quitting that they should make multiple annoying attempts to ask you why or persuade you to stay???
Sure they might want to know why you quit ect, but making a forum post about something that is really a good thing, meh.

I can understand your dissapointment.
Your loyalty was unquestioning and you feel betrayed that in their quest for the irrelevant, your legitimate concerns have been ignored.
CCP is a business, and in businesses such as these people have to justfy their jobs. They will continually tinker and tamper with things that are not broke just so that they are not seen as doing nothing.
Only the players know that EvE is not a game heavily dependent on graphics. It is a game where information is everything and graphics are there for times of boredom or innactivity, such as ship spinning.
The developers don't realise this so they will keep chasing carbon and graphite, leaving our computers behind untill they have designed the ultimate 3D experience that no one can run. |

To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors.
If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

If they don't ask then they are fail - a company should strive to understand why it is loosing customers. Of course that would mean that you had a competent marketing department to start with. From the ridiculous game changes over the past 9 months we know the answer to that.

I guess the question is, how old is your computer and what is it specs ?
And of course the major quest is it a laptop or a desktop.
Why I ask is there hasn't been any major graphics changes that should have killed your computer in the last expansion.
When did it start having issues or has it been happening for awhile ?

The reason should be self evident. A lot of people pay for eve without having a recurring subscription. It is likely that asking all of them why they quit every time they switch off their card as they have spare isk this month would result in even more pissed off folks. |

My computer isn't top-of-the-line either (far from, in fact. My Graphics Card melts if I am on-grid outside one of the trade-hub stations), but I'm not unsubscribing because of that. I just stay from what's causing me problems while I'm playing on my own computer, until I can afford a better computer or even just a better Graphics Card, and if I have to go near such dangerous places (read: trade-hubs), I just borrow another computer that's actually capable of surviving such places. No need to unsubscribe just because your computer isn't able to run EVE smoothly. Just don't do what causes the problems or lower your graphics-settings a bit. |
