What have you done to your computer space to get that extra edge when it comes to EVE?
For me it was the G13 and a second monitor for more accounts and other out of game programs and websites.
I heard someone got a foot pedal to activate their Vent/TS.

I bought a new GFX Card and beefed up the RAM on my 2nd computer and bought another big monitor so I could run 2 accounts.

I moved my wife out of my computer space that gives me more of a edge now when playing.
I think she likes it under the stairs anyhow.

About the only edge I have left to get is to move the fridge, toilet and coffee machine closer to the desk.
I still suck at PvP though

Most of the things I have as an edge have been gifts from relatives. This mainly includes: ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card. Logitech G15 Keyboard loaded with macros. 2.1 Speakers for some fun music. A comfy chair.
I however when I do missions on the weekends I tend to take a little trip to the local store. Get something nice to drink. Ususally consists of a cold Icelandic beverage called Malt. And occasionally snacks of some sort.
My playlist contains Muse, Sigur R=s, Tool, The Prodigy, Metallica and the odd song I have grown fond of.
This gets me into "The Zone" and I feel ready to do some missions!

Logitech G15 Keyboard (Original, hell no to the red glow with less buttons version!!!!) + Logitech MX Rev Mouse + Belkin n52te Gamepad = Profit?
More keybinds/buttons than you can shake a very stick looking stick at and prolly more than you can probably ever need.
& of course enough Neon Blue to keep me happy for now. =]
Currently running 2 accounts on an oldish system (3.2 Ghz P4, 2 x 74GB Western Digital 10k rpm SATA Raptors Striped in RAID 0 on a A6600GT TDH GFX using a Creative X-FI Fatal1ty FPS soundcard) but currently halfway towards paying for a new Mobo/CPU/RAM/GFX upgrade which should bring my system specs/performance right up for a while. ============== End of Line... |

Regular intake of alcoholic liquids, at least it feels like I get that extra edge, but in reality it doesn't since I seem to buy stupid things when... under the influence
Else, that second monitor was the best purchase ever.
edit/and oh playing 80's music very loud helps to get in the zone as well

First G15 with buttons for attack, MWD, scoop/orbit/attack drones and scanner. Good screen, fast comp. From there on it's just all skill!!!

I bought one of those USB cooling pads for my laptop. Cost me about $3.
The temperature of my GPU is now several degrees cooler, also my laptop is now slightly tilted which gives me a much more comfortable feeling for my hands.

Edited by: My Postman on 25/02/2010 16:03:10 Edited by: My Postman on 25/02/2010 16:01:56 I had to buy a fridge for that room, ONLY loaded with beer, these walks to the kitchen drove me nuts. It is now in the middle of the room, as there is no other place but who cares?
Of course it didŠnt solve the "toilet problem" but there was some VERY GOOD desicions above. A camping toilet beside the fridge will do the job!
Edit: I wonder if my GF is willing to empty it frequently? 2 Edit: And i surely donŠt mean the fridge
