Would a snipaggedon work? Like a setup like: highs: 6-7 meagbeams/tachs w/ radio(dunno what fits) mids: 2 sensor boosters 1 tracking comp lows: all tracking enhancers and heat sinks
Would it be possible to fit this, and possible to get good or decent damage from like 100km+?

i've done a Snipascorp with 425's with nothing but tracking enhancers and dmg mods ... worked wonders when killing indy's frigs and cruisers

In my opinion, the best sniper ship is the megathron.
7x 425mm
2x Sensor Booster II 2x Tracking Comp II
5x Tracking Enhancer II 2x Damage Mod
Load iridum ammo and you've got an optimal of over 100k with pretty decent damage. An apoc would also work with a similar setup, with somewhat less range and damage (since you'd need to use fewer tachyons or megabeams)

It depends what youre trying to hit and where you're trying to do it, but a sniperapoc is much better. the RoF bonus is useless for frigs and indies, so the massive amount of grid on the apoc is key for fitting more tachyons. Go with some sensor boosters, radio, dmg mods, and tracking comps. Even two comp IIs will give you over 100km optimal, and the sensor boosters will let you lock far as you need. ---------------------------

Yeah Id go with apoc if you need a laser sniper. ROF is only really useful for short-range ganking, youd find lots of tracking/damage mods to be a lot more useful (specially if you have escorts to deal with anything that gets close)
For any sniping Id probably take the Minnie BS that gets the range bonus, I forget which it is tho. _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |

plus there is no way you will get 7 megabeams or 7 tachs on a geddon without some PDU/RCU
Sniper i would deffo go with mega with or apoc. Geddon is much better with megapulse at medium range

Typhoon gets a +10%/level range bonus. But I think you'd be better of in a Megathron.

Thx guys.
Also, would it be possible to have a tankageddon similar to the apoc tank or is the geddon just subpar when it comes to tanking vs ganking?

The arma can tank, no doubt. But the apoc is far better a it, it's the king of tanking in this game.
Basically, the arma is a pulse using quick killing agile (haha, relatively speaking) machine. The Apoc is the lumbering, tanking, shoot it till it's dead type. ---------------------------

My sniperthron setup is as followed: High: - 7*425mm railgun I - 1*Rocket Launcher
Medium: - 2*F-12 tracking computer I - 1*F-90 sensor booster - 1*Supplemental Scanning CPU or Cap Recharger I (named or tech II)
Low: - 2*Magnetic Stabilizer II - 2*Magnetic Vortex I (same specs as magnetic stab II) - 3*Tracking Enhancer II
Notes: - Use Antimatter for a max range of 75km - Use Iridium for a max range of 140km - Use Iron for a max range of 178km - All above ranges are with all modules activated - Use the rocket launcher with defender missiles (commodore, enforcer spawns) - Can target upto 179km with both sensor boosters activated.
These ranges are with my skills, lvl 4 on em
Mind that the sensor boosters and the tracking computers aren't tech II but they are close to it. So to improve tracking and targetrange then use tech II ;)
The damage is 50-150 with iridium at that iridium range, the damage with Anti Matter is 150 and up.
If ya got questions, evemail me ;)
Many folks using this setup now and works great.
