So in 00 i salvage alot, and i got up to about 20-30mil in salvage. So since no one is buying on the market in 00, i planned to go to jita. So i get into a Magnate and load up the salvage into it. Put a cloak on it then im off. Run into a gate camp and boom dead.. this happened to me before but on a smaller scale. so now im ****ed off and have no clue on how the **** i can gain any money without getting killed. Also, There isn't even a reason for me to buy any Battlecruisers because on the way back i will get killed also.
So if anyone has any help they can give me on what to do, i will take anything..

EDIT: But lets play along, your corp should provide logistics back to empire thats what its there for, the ISK you make of bounties provides a nice amount and I dont know where you are but the market should have a fair bit on FIRST!! |

Pretty easy. In 0.0 you rat for the money mostly, or what you can carry with you. If you want to carry and sell loot, the best advice is to join a corp/alliance that lives there and operates a market.

Join a corp/alliance who have some logistics in place for moving things in and out of the area. They'd be able to bring your ships in as well as probably move your stuff out for you. You should be able to move your loot out in a covert ops without any issues. ---------------- A million faces, each a million lies |

No smack...
Learn how to get though a gate camp?
Move during off peak times. If you don;t know when those are for your area your not ready to move stuff about.
A covert ops should be able to make it though nearly any gatecamp. Granted, I lost one 2 days ago because I spawned in the middle of some warrior I's left over from a fight and I could not cloak the ship.
If it makes you feel any better I know someone who lost a Billion ISK in loot because he got doomsdayed (AOE days) at the gate into high sec. He was watching the 40 gate campers and someone warped in a Titan while he was tabbed to his other account and... BOOB!! And yes, we still kid him about it all the time. He gives me the loot now and I use a carrier to move it to low sec.

Those beeing in the big alliances have some sort of "gateways" so they can jump several system without using the traditional gates. If your not an alliance type of player I guess you are screwd now that there are so many online players. I use a t2 frigg myself for ratting in 0.0 and thats relativly safe because of my speed but I havent bothered to salvage anything with it. And ratting is slow with low bounty income

Get into w-space, its what player 0.0 should have been (minus the annoying probe launcher you have to ruin your load out with)

when I started playing in 2006? it was a max 20000 players at peek. As soon as I was able I jumped into a battleship with a few warpcore stabbs and set corse for 0.0. I made alot of isk back then but since 2006 theres alot more players and they (ccp) has added drawbacks on the stabbs. Im not saying this is a bad thing but soloplay might need some monetoring if we want it ingame.

balls... for still trying to make money in 0.0 w/o resorting to a macro raven.
it's mostly a place for rich***s who have made their fortune in their early months in empire - or GTC sellers. mostly the latter now as the former don't want to spend the entire wallet on sov. i guess CCPs plan is working as intended - putting the gist back into logistics |

What is this soloplay that you speak of? I believe that was done away with several expansions back.

To answer the question of how to make money in null space here is your choice: <mini how to guide for how to make isk solo in 0.0>
Join one of the big alliances and give them 10%+ in taxes to the guys who just happen to be the first out there.
If you don't want to join one of the big alliances - get a cloak ship and try to break through the gauntlet to get deep into null space. Then once in an empty system hunt rats till someone comes into system. Then cloak and hide till they leave. If they don't leave - stop playing. Once they leave then hunt rats again.
Once your hold is full then pray you can fight back up through the pipe and sell what loot you have. Doing this you should make around 10,000 an hour. If you lose your ship then anything you do the next week in null space is a wash.
Or
Stay in empire mining roids and doing level 4 missions. Periodically fit out a ship to run to null space and fill up someones kill mail. Gotta give those 50 people sitting on a gate for 6 hours straight something to be happy about.

Trying to make a living solo in 0.0 space is possible but not really the recommended route. As others have stated, the best way is to join a corp/alliance already established in 0.0. Then you will have intel channels to help tell you when the reds are coming, you should have a market to sell any goods into, and logistics to jump your stuff in and out of empire space.
Running gate camps with a hold full of loot is really not the best way of doing things

Ratting, mostly. I use a rupture for it. I jump gates blind, which is a huge no-no in EVE, but I avoid frequently traveled systems and use the map for intel. Getting in and out of 0.0 can be difficult, but if you setup off gate safespots you can avoid drag bubbles. _________

Living out in 0.0 is about risk vs reward, you can make ton's of ISK if you have the right trade skills without even leaving the station, marketing & daytrading so you can post items for sale on market 20 jumps away/modify it 20 jumps away. putting buy orders for stuff really low, ppl do fire sales when they say goodbye to 0.0.... even buy the only battleship of 1 type in one area and repost on market for 10-15m more.. ppl will buy it! even if you cant mine rare roids or chain bs rats, theres still good isk to be had, im 2 months old and made just under 2bil trading in two 0.0 regions without even leaving station, but i grinded lvl4 curriers & begged in local to get jump clones and my initial investment isk

If you can fly a cov-ops, getting out of 0.0 is fairly easy, find a worm hole, find the path through to empire or low-sec, take stuff out or bring ships in. just don't forget to bm both sides of the wh on the way out.

Everybody is in this game for themselves. So until you have the skills to take care of yourself, do the best you can and don't get emo. Sometimes you get lucky and catch someone jumping a carrier up and you're able to put your stuff on board.. and sometimes you even get it back within a week.
But don't expect much help. Even if it's stated to be there, alliance help is usually pretty vague and spotty.
