I've been away from the game for awhile, really only logging on to keep the skills training. I come back to the forums to see this 5 minute thingy between posts. I'm curious as to why? Seems a very long time to me.

They basically did it around the time the forums got flooded with wii sex toy key logger thingies i am assuming thats why they did it.

It also helped to reduce the people who would quote a 3-page book in GD and post "this" or "lol". And, outside of CAOD, people seem to post "posting in an epic thread" a lot less when they can only post every 5 minutes.
Keep it in, I say.

yeah, i miss the 30 wii sex toy / audry bittoni threads that took up the entire front page.
hence the 5 min wait time. have to admit when they did that spamming came to a hault.

Fine for GD, but anywhere else and it can be a PITA, specifically the Timecode and Character Bazaars and Sell Orders. Anything involving multiple purchases or requsets for information can become quite tedious with the cooldown.
