Freighters? the pictures in the variousevepics dir were from the eve-online.com site from around 2000-2001. there are frigs in there that do not exist, a type of pre Maller Maller, and titans that are not what we would consider titans... CCP has of course done a lot of changing in the last 10 years. if you take a look at the first eve trailer ccp made (http://www.eveonline.com/download/videos/Default.asp?a=download&vid=33) you can see two sizes of condors, frigates and cruisers escorting each other.

They were really well done, it's like each screen managed to show off a facet of a larger story, and fired the imagination. The chronicles made a big difference as well.

(censored).jpg Guy is in a private conversation with TomB (the immortal), complaining because his Osprey blueprint was replaced by a Probe blueprint. Guy is understandably upset, having paid 80,000 for what became a Probe blueprint, and already owns a Rifter blueprint. The industrious Guy has even stockpiled almost 50,000 units of tritanium to build the much-anticipated Osprey. TomB (the knowledgeable) calmly explains that the Osprey blueprint was not supposed to be sold, and that the Probe has been upgraded with a big cargo hold and is therefore "better than Rifter" anyway. (Good thing the Goons aren't around anymore to hear that!) TomB (the wise) finally promises to reimburse Guy after dinner, after which the immortal sage then imparts one last piece of (passive aggressive) advice: TomB > but don't forget it's an alpha, your character might be wiped tomorrow TomB > tell that to them who helped you There are also multiple pilots in global chat named Barack, and a paintshop button on the station panel. Awesome! tl;dr TomB thinks a Probe is better than a Rifter, and is noob And censorship sucks and the link doesn't work, so you will have to follow the link here for the directory and find the link yourself. Last one beginning with the letter "f"

Or maybe not, there would be super amounts of whining over the UI and everything else, but I'm glad EVE has moved on. I only started playing four years ago but, even then, it was a much better place than what the original EVE looked like it was.

Basically you bought BP for it and if rat killed you you just made another one while mining abc ores. Second best was imicus (smaller cargo hold). This was before CCP gave each race designated mining ship and made Probe exploration ship.
