I want to manufacture items that need a R.A.M. component but the component gets damaged 10% per item. I was thinking I could just run 9 of the item and then repair the R.A.M. component and then I could reuse it forever. Does it work like that? |

Yes they can be repaired, but it gets tedious for larger batches. There will come a point where you won't care anymore. |

Yes, it works, but you may find it easier to just make 10 runs and use up the RAM completely. Get a RAM BPO and build your own replacement RAMs.

Possible, but highly tedious. If you're worried about saving such a small amount of isk, you're doing something wrong. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |

repairing 65% costs 1800 ISK or the like. If you have only Invented BPCs this might work well. Else get the RAM BPO, since it is quite annoying not having the needed RAM arround, while it is out of stock within ten or more jumps. --

Thanks for the replies, I never thought about the repair cost of the RAM mod. Thanks Ki

Another reason not to bother is because doing 9 runs of the BPC, repping the RAM and doing the last one will take up 2 manufacturing slots. If the runs are awkward lengths of time each this may result in the slot doing one run to be wasted for several hours.
