I have flown a pilgrim for over a year now, roaming about in lowsec.
I always wanted a cloakey missile-spamming ship, but Eve did not want to give me one. I then made my own:

goes 500 m/sec and aligns in 4.7 secs.

This is for lowsec solo and occasional gang business.
I have of course learned to select targets carefully with the Pilgrim and will apply the same doctrine to the Tengu when hunting in lowsec.
What do you guys think?

you don't need the SPR. ditch it.
replace the cpu gate and the regeneration matrix for the disson and the augumented cap. that way you get 1 more launcher, and a sweet 32 sensor str.
replace the T2 LSE's for a large F-S9 and a EM hard, replace the bay loading accel for bay thrusters.

If you're gonna fit an AB, for God's sake fit the AB propulsion susbystem. And lolSPR.

The tengu is indeed the perfect cloaky missile-spamming ship, I don't like the buffer idea here though since you're doubling your sig radius (275 from 150). Mine runs with high resists and faction ammo instead which works wonders.
With the argument of "picking your fights" I'm sure you could argue either way though.
edit: also what grim said if you want to go this direction.

Although since you are going to be close range anyway, you can also do that but then switch warp disruptor for faction scrambler (or t2 if you are poor, or fit another warp disruptor), then you can keep your t2 shield extender (with a 1% PG implant).

Even though that 360dps looks great on paper HAMs will need web or/and painter to apply that damage to anything cruiser or smaller. Probably a single Ab fit AF can take you down if ofc its dps is greater than 170... Though it would be such a shame to die a single frig in a t3 ship.
