it's no wonder some people were hit by this...
i have no apathy for the person who didn't check the popup. not apathy for the problem itself. sheesh! and, i can still feel sorry that something happened, even if i think "why" it happened is stupid or could have been avoided. okay?
fact is, popups cause computer users various problems. usually associated with NOT READING what it says and MAKING AN UNEDUCATED choice regarding it. happens all the time...
i always felt bad for "regular" people who get a virus or something because of this. but, in my opinion, an EVE player should be battle hardened to check for scams everywhere...

Saying that not reading the pop ups is being lazy or stupid or whatever doesnt stick. Especially now that u get charged for convoing/mailing/ganging corp members. I would say 98% of the people who play eve just click yes without reading the pop up. This is solely because, in castor, it was there to stop spamming. To me, that is it sole reason for being in the game, hence why it is, and should be, only 100isk which is nothing.
Changing it, and not announcing it, was a really bad idea. Ok, it was in the in the patch notes, but not every1 reads them. there are 50000 subscribers, i would say a small percentage, probably 10% reads the patch notes. an even smaller percent, probably about 5% read the forums on a regular basis (i make it a priority as its a good source for info on just about everything and keeps me up to date). That means that about 75-80% of the player base is uninformed to this change.
The fact that its an isk sink and the money vanishes basically turns it into a griefers tool as they gain no benefit to setting it to 100mil at all. It is a pointless change and i still dont understand why it was introduced.
It should be removed, NOW
