What if we had this bubble that could tractor in all cans dropped inside it towards the center of the bubble automatically? It would make mining a lot easier.
Same sizes as warp bubbles.
Small has 75m/s pull
Medium has 125m/s pull
Large has 300m/s pull
They can be anchored in hi sec, and there is no agro issue if someone not in your corp drops a can there, it simply won't be pulled in.

Probably be more like a gravity well generator than a bubble. Also, having to anchor it is kind of an odd concept.

or we could get some medium tractor beams.. right now there is small and capital.. kind of a big gap there

True, a medium tractor with 40km range without bonuses. A large with 60km so that the 100km capital wouldn't seem such a massive jump. There's enough mining ops that go on in belts that are too big for a hauler to keep slowboating to get in range. Slap a Medium on it for a 40km range and it would make life easier.
If anyone says Orca, all I have to say about that is Skills! Until they allow noob accounts with skills to fly an Orca as standard, it will take time to train for it.

Gravity well needs to only pull in cans marked for pulling. Otherwise I'd put on my trollface, and anchor them positively everywhere, and make miners' work very difficult.
Also, "gravity well" is what planets and **** have, and what warp drives lock on to, to warp to as static warps.

would be awesome to set up 'art' based around these.. for instance, a can that goes around in a circle perpetually.. or one that orbits in a weird fashion..
