I love EVE, and I want to stay informed on CCP's status of patches. The game is still somewhat buggy as many of you know and I just wanted to see if anyone was aware of CCP's progress into a new patch for the game.. Anyone know anything?

We were aiming for tomorrow. However the size of the backup we need to pull from LON to ICE, to be able to test out the SQL conversion scripts required to upgrade all persistent data to match new code, is giving us some problems. Patching on a Friday is something we are not happy to do, so it looks like we have to post pone to Monday.

I don't mind if you patch on a Friday - really ...

Yes because by doing so you would be both mistaken and foolish ...

I don't mind if it's a Friday patch either, but there's always some whiners that will scream bloody murder if that happens simply because they have nothing better to do =(
Oh well, I can wait until Monday ;)

I believe CCP is making the right decision by waiting until monday. Let them have that weekend to double-check everything is smooth. It's so much better that way.

Hellmar can you please privately message me to let me know what's getting nerfed and what's not so that I can make lots of money trading rare loot with this insider information?
Thanks! :)

The developers have done an excellent job of fixing patch problems when they have gone bad, but I still think that it is a better ID to wait till Monday before posting the patch.
If possible, why not use the weekend to test the patch by encouraging the regular players to log onto the Chaos Servers, you will probably have a better chance for testing by more players that way.
In the end I am here to stay for the long haul.

yeah that's why they don't patch on Friday.... So they can have the weekend to check it out.
On Saturday they will be pounding some Icelandic suds and dreading come back on Monday to do a new patch and listen to all the whiners. **I'm a flower, watch me blossom... and kill** |

how about stopping with the goddamn nerfing and start putting in the features that were supposed to be in already. I'm tired of seeing ship stats and weapon specs change from one day to the next. It's really frelling annoying! Balancing should have been finished a long time ago. Now quit it! Ya Hya Chouhada!!! |

Not to be rude, but I'd prefer you delay it until Tuesday or even Wednesday so long as we can get a detailed, complete and accurate set of patch notes. That'll make it much easier to determine what's a nerf, boost or bug.
I still haven't seen the imicus or probe's capacitor reduced to 125 in any patch notes. Must be a bug. :)

I think what will be nerfed the most is the projectile turret (especially medium and rare ones) ammo capacity. It will basically be cut in half.
For example, the Dual 150mm Scout Artllery goes from 8 to 4 (40 rounds instead of 80), and Dual 425mm Scout Artillery goes from 2 to 1...
This will make long fights with rapid fireing projectiles a real pain, but they still do the most damage without using any energy... so I guess that's not as bad.

Today is Monday, and I didn't see anything indicating a patch happened today. Was it postponed? __________________________________________________
