Edited by: Jerid Verges on 09/03/2010 02:16:33 I am looking for a tool that would allow me to compare the relative isk/per m3 value of ores if I sold them on the market.
Eve-Central is good, but it only lists the median market prices for the ores. And all the other tools I found were calculators for isk/per m3 value of Minerals.
I don't want a mineral calc. I'm looking for an Ore calc.
Anyone know one?

None of those work. As I specified. All of those sites Convert ore into minerals into isk/m3. (Ore->Minerals->Isk)
I want a direct ore into isk/m3 calc. But there don't seem to be any.
No refining calcs. Nothing about minerals.

You're looking for a calculator which will take the current price for a unit of ore, and tell you the value of that ore per cubic metre, right? Simply apply dimension analysis to the problem: you want a number in units of "ISK/m3", and you have numbers in units of "ISK" and "m3". So just divide one by the other.
Open Numbers (or OOCalc, or whatever spreadsheet program you have available)
Create a table with these columns: "Ore", "Volume", "Unit Price", "ISK/m3"
In the first three columns, enter the ore name and volume (these are static), and the unit price of ore from the market (this will change over time, you may be able to automate it somehow).
In the last column, enter the formula "Unit Price" / "Volume". Done!
For bonus points, add in the reprocessing values so you can then decide whether to sell the raw ore or the processed minerals.

I use a spreadsheet myself. It allows me to have the data as I want it presented. OpenOffice FTW!
Keep in mind that ore is useless until turned into minerals. If you trade solely based on ore prices, you will lose a lot of ISK.
I make hundreds of millions daily off of people that price ore poorly not based on its mineral content.

Jerid, the problem is raw ore isn't a popular trade commodity due to it's volume, and its price is most of the time gimped somehow. Getting your own spreadsheet based on the prices you are offered would be the only viable solution.

Well personally I prety much the most basic thing: I unload one cargoload and check for how much it sells. Then I unload another cargoload with a different ore and check again.
Prices may vary on a daily basis; sometimes Cordite sells for more than Veldspar and sometimes it's the other way around.

make a spreadsheet, it should be pretty simple.
ore name, m3, refine num, trit, pye, ... , megacyte, zydrine.
sum the reqs * mineral prices, and divide by m3*refine num.
you can copy one of the refine tables right into excel. (might be in alpha order rather than value order)
