Followed by a fleet of about 80 frigates, t1, t2 and faction.
We decided to switch up the bait ship this time, the provi was getting old. At first we didn't get any bites, the FW guys were broadcasting our fleet all over the place, so we figured to head for Tama and pull a repeat of the dock and undock for bait trick. Well the Tama rats fell for it again, only this time hot dropped a carrier on us. They were unable to kill the orca because they pulled out, de-agressed and docked up as the fleet arrived.
We repaired the orca, and sent it on. In fliet we saw some action, pair of drakes and a cyclone went for the orca, were all destroyed.
Two more jumps and it was a Drake and Absolution who got their pirate erections, we split the fleet as the Abso deagressed and burned to the gate we were coming through. Forward fleet pegged the drake, the abso jumped on top of the fleet waiting on the other side.
Finally, we returned to murethand. AD was waiting for us this time. A pair of nyx's made short work of our bait orca. We couldn't bump them and had no heavy dictor, so they warped off towards planet 4. Probably to a POS at one of the moons. Fleet warped to P4, a disco hyperior appeared shortly, and much death ensued. We *think* we lost 26 ships, though all of our retributions survived. Got the PERVS hyp and coercer, and it was GG. Survivors are now warping out, good fights everyone!

seem to remember the abaddon docking at the station as everyone pounced on it.
the nyx's seem to have ranaway as i arrived and a comment of "Run Forest, Run!" was posted in local.
i remember arriving near the cyclone and absolution and i got on that final kill, an alliance mate got two kill mails.
i along with many others got caught up in the disco scene and although i thought it was cheap shot, you take what you get in eve and an hour or so later things were back to normal, so no hard feelings there.
good sport all round and i look forward to doing something similar again although i would suggest a different area as i think we are starting to get a reputation now :-)

If you want to go for this, hit me up in game. I'm pretty sure I can get 3 or 4 carrier pilots to counter drop for lulz. (And if your lucky, I know a suicidal dread pilot who will go in to siege on a station undock.. Its only a dread after all.. But he might also shoot the bait ship... )

We were in Heyds ganking a drake - who ejected... And we were flying the drake back to home base. When we landed on the gate the absolution dropped connection.
At the same time the orca and its 2x ceptor pilots landed on the gate as well. At this point, being flashy red, I didn't have a choice.
The abso pilot logged back in and jumped with me into indreg. Both of us being flashy red. I told him it was a trap, but it was too late for us to warp as we were both scrammed. And the abso was plated and slow as hell to warp.
At that point we just tried to kill whatever was there. Being in an LOL stolen drake fit, and a fat ass abso, not much chance at getting away to be honest or killing the ceptors.
The timing was **** for the abso to drop connection. If he hadn't dropped, we would have been on our way and never got caught. But at the same time, we also managed to give advanced warning to our Capital friends/BS friends who preped the gang **** to ensue.
the abso loss sucked but thats eve for you. getting a free drake that we fully insured before flying home was priceless. Least this way the isk went to the abso pilot.
Funny thing is your isk loss was probably alot greater.

Whoa, easy there buddy. No one said you cried, though judging from your posting you're a little butt hurt about the whole experience. I'm not sure what you're talking about DCs either, because the abso pilot made it through the initial assault, jumped through the gate, and was finished off by the rest of our fleet on the other side.
All I've seen in this thread up to your post is compliments on the fun fights, and good job on the double nyx orca smash. The one guy that mentioned pirate tears was most likely referring to the ones we got last time out... I think you need to calm down. |

"Insured stolen drake"
You needed to dock and insure it yourself for it to be insured. Otherwise the insurance goes to no-one =F

To the poster that quoted me and said that no one was talking about "pirate tears".
Also, the abso pilot crashed when he landed on the Indreguelle gate in Heyds, on our way to Indreguelle.. Not when we were engaged..
Because he crashed, we were postponed on our journey, which allowed the orca pilot and its ceptor support to land on the gate while I was waiting. Abso pilot logged in and we both jumped as we were both flagged and were locked up anyway at the gate..
It was actually a really bad timing for us, not so much a bait trap.

Well 2 things. Firstly, unless you were making tears in local about your misfortune, he probably wasn't talking about you. The two of you were not the only victims of that roam. More than likely, he was talking about another forum poster in one of our previous threads who created an epic flood of tears over getting bait ganked.
Secondly, if I had been caught flying a drake fit like that, I wouldn't admit to owning it myself either. Either way, no need to get butt hurt over it. You never had a chance, no shame in it, no need to defend yourself. |

That's fair and youre right. I just got heated at "pirate erections" and "pirate tears" and felt that wasn't a fair portrayal of what actually happened. You're right about the drake, I thought about ejecting but I had already insured it. Now I bare the shame.
