I've bought and sold my fare share of characters for one reason or another, but until a few night ago I had never seen them again in the game. With a game as large as eve its not surprising but I guess eventually it had to happen.
I was out trying some solo pvp in lowsec and failing badly as always (lack of single targets, running from blobs, the usual) when I land on a belt and find an alt I sold possibly 12 months ago ratting. Now I quite liked this alt but I had to sell him after a large amount of goods and isk went missing from the corp he was in at the time. I had considered for a time making him my second lowsec pirate (so I could dual box) but when push came to shove, I needed the isk..
So here he is, sitting in a belt.. I knew I could take him as I knew exactly how old he was, and he was sitting in a ship I had never specked him for, so hes skills couldn't have been great (I on the other hand was closed to max in the particular ship I was in).. But something in the back of my head stopped me for a moment and I sat there just watching..
The delay gave him enough time to pull his drones (yes, he stayed in belt to pull drones, which is normally what gets you killed) and warp out..
So C&P.. Has this ever happened to you? Did it cause you as much problems as it did me? Or are you all fine with shooting at your once loved characters..

Reminds me of the time i took a blue dump (fundip) and then went to the sewage plant and saw the same dump floating there.

but honestly, yeah ive done that before (found them, not letting them escape that is). only difference was i tracked mine down.
kill them, dont hesitate bro.
oh, and when u do make sure u get their corpse.

Well, his hasn't happen to me but.....
Look at my character, its my main, but god damn isn't he ugly? I would have popped my ex alt like a gigantic puss filled pimple just for being better looking than me and then laugh at the guy in local for even buying the piece of ****.
And it reminds me of looking in the mirror one day and saying to yourself, "I F#@KING HATE U!" And then smashing the mirror with ur own fist.
Or finding ur blue **** in a sewer pipe. It came from u, so its god like, but its still just a piece of **** that you gave away.
BTW, was that from Mountain Dew:Voltage, or ODing on the Blue pill?
Voltage turned my **** blue, and i kid you not.

I once shot myself in my own POS because i forget to set up overview on my alt.

It always sucks to be selling characters you really like. It's always hard to fight the urge of having them back, every time.
It's always hard to fight against them or act like the usual ******-pretend you usually do with everybody.
But then, you can solve the problem, and do not think of it as YOUR character, but as EVERYBODY'S character. You don't make a character grow because you want to make him represent you in the game, you grow a character so it can interact with other characters and express emotions. You build up your character to influence other characters.
Then it doesn't matter who uses it, you made a change to the game, you contribuited to an evergrowing place. You made your little show and it was. Perhaps other will do the same one way or another, with that same character.
That's it, that's EVE, that's why you're still here posting, still playing and still acting like a pretend-******.

I have never sold my old chars, I either deleted them (first true main, also a 20 mil domi/cap pilot) or just closed the accounts. So no it hasn't happened to me :)
But I do at times go soft and all carebearish
