Im pretty hooked on X3 TC. Eve o and that game suits all my needs. But im thinking on making a mod for X3 using the 4 races and there ships, even adding a few new pirate factions with the npc pirates from ingame...
Am i alowed to do this??
If alowed
Can i make a mod that others can use??
Im not sure about the copyrights and so on....and couldnt find a place where to ask....

There was a EVE Mod created for Nexus and Homeworld, as far as I'm aware they're still waiting for approval from CCP after atleast a year. Don't waste your time.

I heard that they lacked the resources to develop it and didn't bother with it. Never heard anything about approval from CCP.

I'll admit I'm not sure about Homeworld, but I know that the Nexus mod was awaiting approval from CCP. But since the Nexus homepage has been brought down now I don't know if it'll ever be released. It looks like a good mod, I'm looking forward to it if it's ever released.

Just got a mail from a German X3 mod team. He have permission to use eve online stuff for non profit mod. The mod team just need to give ccp the credits.....
This is awsome news...

about the Nexus TJI mod, I personally know the maker of the mod irl (he's also my corp CEO for the past years) and as far as I know he still works on the mod when he has time
