Why is the slaves on a break while warping a freighter?

Fine while I wait the 20 minutes it takes to arrive at the next gate I'll rearrenge my cargo... DENIED! (Notify) The cargo of this class of ship can only be moved while docked at hangar or close to an online Control Tower. So what's up with them slaves moving the cargo, why they on a break when warping?!!13 @CCP, surely stacking could be allowed while in warp in a freighter me thinks. /c Secure 3rd party service

However, I suspect the real reason is that looting/transferring cargo in space code is tied to the stacking cargo code in such a way that it's difficult to allow one without the other.

Regardless of if you chose to place your slaves lives in danger during warp operations, the calculations used by ships computers when engaging warp drives takes in account the weight & balance of all cargo in the ships hold, changing these balances mid flight would surely end in disaster for your ship.

Shuttles are flimsy and it would get crushed under the weight of all the Veldspar.

Regardless, there was a devblog (a long while back) that talked about lag in Jita and how the majority of it was caused by pilots shuffling items around in their hangars (as opposed to simply being the sheer number of pilots in local). I'd always assumed that Freighters were unable to shuffle & combine stacks, as that could potentially bring an instant, massive lag spike to a system/node that was not prepared to handle such a large, instant recalculation of billions of pieces of Tritanium.
