I see quite regularly freight cans on gates in and out of jita which are the unfortunate result of freighters getting ganked. I know in theory the answer to this is yes, but in practical terms do jump freighters get ganked in high sec?
With the extra hp I wander if a typical suicide gang that could take a freighter would go for a jf. Any linked kill mails for a high sec gank of a jf would be appreciated.

You can anchor cans in space.
There are videos on youtube of freightors getting ganked by 20+ BS. I'm to lazy to link them.

Normal freighters yea, but any vids or links to a jump freighter kill?

you can't anchor or jettison general freight containers, the only way they get into space is for a freighter to go down carrying them 
there were a few cans floating around the new caldari/jita stargate with 48x crow, 48x taranis and a few other names that I went by quite a few times. I assume they stayed there for as long as they did (hell they might still be there, haven't been by that way in a while now) because nubs kept flying up to them to reset the 30d expiration timer 
I haven't just heard of a jump freighter getting ganked. but I know that at least 1 was lost during wartime.

It will get suicide ganked if your dumb enough to sit in system waiting to get shot, if you undock and jump you will be fine. (more or less)

Suicide ganked not often, ganked quite a bit. A surprising number of person still fly them under wardecs somehow.
